It's being reported that Facebook is "rolling out" a new live-streaming service. Major news outlets are framing the story by saying this is way to for them to keep people engaged.

The headline? "Facebook to pay celebrities, media more than $50 million for live video."

The words "celebrities" and "media" set off alarm bells for me. I see propaganda-pushing ahead. And I think the manosphere, alt-right, and other conservative outlets should get wise to this -- and quick.

The article running at Marketwatch.com says: "The social network’s partners vary widely. It includes established media outfits like CNN and the New York Times; digital publishers like Vox, Tastemade, Mashable and the Huffington Post; and celebrities including Kevin Hart, Gordon Ramsay, Deepak Chopra and NFL quarterback Russell Wilson."

Celebrities and media don't just sit there are look cute, though. They have to provide content. What do you think the content will be?

I think it will be more of biased crap we've seen already, except now it will be more insidious since it will be done by idiotic "celebrities" that the minions mindlessly worship. Remember the Johnny Depp-doing-Donald Trump skit at Funny-Or-Die? I dread thinking that stuff will now be produced 24/7.

It was only two months ago that Facebook made big news when former workers reveled they routinely repressed conservative views in their "trending" feed.

They were forced to correct that. The new service, though, will provide them an end-run around claims of being biased. All they have to say is "We're not censoring the actors/media!" It also seems fishy that this being done before a big election.
