When it comes to planning a trip to South America, particularly southern Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, how do I go about the logisitical aspect of everything? This includes which venues to go to, how to get around, and in which places people speak the most English, etc. Also, specifically, I want to know about mid tier Uruguay and Brazil, particularly in the states of Rio Grande du Sol and Mato Grosso du Sol and whether or not I would stand out as a foreigner and have an easier time.

You can research with travel guidebooks. That will give you an idea of prices, travel times, things to see.

You might get good advice at lonely planet forum. Use the search function and then ask any specific questions in your own thread.

You will get better advice if you sketch out a rough plan yourself and ask them to fill in the gaps.

search google for "site:rooshvforum.com cityname" and pull up some datasheets. Anywhere you could possibly want to go has all of the info you need, as long as you spend the time to read it.
