We started having some technical issues with the server around 5:30am EST that has something to do with the secure certificate. Some members reported problems before that. It's currently being worked on.

If you're having connection issues, try manually entering the url with the "https://" in the beginning.

So it appears that the htaccess file is no longer forwarding http:// to https://, and you have to manually type in the https://.

It doesn't make sense because I didn't make any changes to htaccess file. Any reason it would just stop working?

Your provider may have changed something on their end that could have broken the redirect. You may want to call them and ask if something happened recently and mention your issue.

If deletion and remaking the file fixes it, it would likely be corruption. If you recover the file from a previous older backup, and it works fine, then it is definately file corruption.

Beast is correct as well, especially if a recovered file is broken still. That would mean they probably patched the servers and something broke your Http/Https redirect. Like put your IIS or Apache settings back into a default state.

When I saw the error last night and this morning, it was a 503 "Guru Meditation" Error, which seemed to indicate a problem with Varnish Cache software. I would definitely check with the ISP to see what's up.

Right know I experiance "ssl handshake" failures at every link I click on this forum. Also Firefox tells me that a certificate is expired and that the connection is not safe. I have to click "Retry live version" and after that the page loads.

I'm getting an error on Chrome where its rapidly changing RAY IDs and flashing, and says web server is down. Works fine on brave browser though.

None of my firefox book marks work anymore, for various forum thread links ever since the site went down.

Do the links have https in them at all? You'll want full proper links.
