Thought about this the other day, needed a break from studying so I left the library and went to get a drink at the w. As I walked in a friend of mine called me to ask about a project we are planning and I walked into the elevator with two girls and it went something like this:

Here's a strategy that me and my friend are going to use this summer when we are gaming girls that involves this kinda phone shit.

First of all, we split up and go our separate ways.

When I see a girl I like, I immediately quick dial his number. Here's about how the conversation would go from my end. We just basically play off of eachother according to the scenario that we are going to Paris for a business meeting, and something happened to our airplane tickets. Of course, it would be more extended than this and largely improvised.

"Did you print out our tickets? You couldn't print them? What? You did buy them, right? Ok, so you already called the airline. What did they say? The flight's full? We need to be in Paris by 8:00 AM tomorrow, man."

At this point, I end the call and say to her, "God, airlines, I tell ya." And then just let the rambling go on from there, hopefully get a same day date. The nice thing is that it's probably gonna be easier to get a same day lay because she knows I'm not gonna be in the country the next day.

I have a new conversational topic that I use now..

I get next to the girl or I say it as I'm passing her or I say it from just behind her or from just in front of her.

I say:

me: dude, that girl is a little crazy but its because shes also a genius

This usually gets their attention. They become intrigued.

I continue..

me: she is like one of those genius artists who is also a little crazy. I dont want her to have any limitations. I totally trust her. You say you are passing by her or she is walking behind, either way she is not in your path at all. In both scenarios you say your have to appear to not even notice she was there, so how do you open? Hang up your phone, stop in your tracks, turn around, and say "Hey didn't notice you there but now I do..."?

Just curious how you open from a position of seemingly purposeful travel. To me it would seem a little easier to let her walk by you as you're hanging up your phone, or if he is sitting then pace around where she is sitting while you talk.

I have done this before it is a really good idea because if you are like me then it will ease your anxiety and give you time to decide how you want to approach her. It is really helpful because you will be able to read the girl's expression and see if your fake convo had any type of affect on her at all which should help build your confidence. I just wanted to add that if you want it to seem more real use the alarm function on your phone. Thanks for this thread I almost forgot this trick.
