I found this forum and ROK after reading Naughty Nomad for a while. I've been reading the forum for a year and thought I'd join. My life has changed dramatically for the better. Hey everyone

A little about myself, I managed to stumble upon the Redpill sub reddit somehow at the start of 2014 as I was going through a situation you would all recognize, having oneitis for a girl when all things logically pointed to her being a bad deal now that my eyes have been opened.

I was a soldier who'd lost his passion for the job after 4 years at it, knowing it wasn't the life or career I wanted for the rest of my life, I didn't end up getting deployed to Afghanistan or anywhere else due to the fact that Australia's pulling out of Afghan and I just missed out on a deployment last year due to a numbers issue.

After much introspection I decided to put in my discharge and go on holiday through Europe doing a contiki tour through France, Italy and Germany, stopping at Amsterdam. Then going on a road trip through Ireland and finally coming back to Australia where I've recently moved to Brisbane to start a new career path.

After meeting a nice Brazilian couple on the tour with me who told me all about their country, reading Roosh's book Bang Brazil, and managing to pull a Brazilian girl the night before I left for Brisbane, Brazil will be my next holiday destination. I'm already in the process of enrolling in learning how to speak Spanish

I decided to stop lurking and introduce myself in hoping to get to know some of you and learn from any experiences you've had in gaming girls here in Australia.

long time lurker. decided to start contributing.

36 year old entrepreneur. pretty obvious where i'm from.

recovering "beta" who has been with his wife for 10 yrs. daughter in grade school. wife cut me off from sex some yrs ago. no misprint.

no desire at this point to leave and let her take my house, my stuff and my kid. been carefully getting a little bit on the side for the last couple of yrs. it can be challenging since i don't lie to the lizzies about being married. although the odd one gets turned on by this.

the manosphere and forums like this one have been a godsend, not just for skill and self-improvement, but for the support of knowing i am not alone. my goals for the last couple years have simply been to improve myself and try to live a happier life however i can.

looking forward to actually participating in the discussions on here.

What do you think of the boom? Is the town not the same it once was? Have "those people" the tranquility and slow pace of life?

yeah i've lurked in there a bit. the negative consequences of the oil sands and there are some are more than outweighed by everything good it has done for my province. on the whole, you can't argue with success.

born and raised albertans like myself are most worried these days about the boom attracting the wrong kind of people. the parasitic class that has destroyed places like ontario might think alberta is looking good to try some social engineering on. and we've had a bit of that as our governments are getting more and more "progressive". there's no question then things have changed here a little as a result. but for now things are better here than anywhere else in the country.

Long time lurker, just remembered I signed up recently, so might as well introduce myself.

Im anglo / european - might narrow it down in the future - near 30, and overall average or normal guy. Experienced traveler, heavy reader.

In a period of personal setbacks, I found myself in a situation where I need to cut the reactive bullshit, and need to take matters into my own hands;

- figure out my own rules and views, and not focus so much on others.
- take action, dare to live.. and not wait for things to come
- etc.

Although I dont agree with - or am interested in - all 'red pill' views or topics on the forum, I do think they provide useful perspectives. Looking forward to discussing things with you guys, and helping out where I can!

I'm Ethan, 24, from the DC area. I've been unimpressed with the women of dc as have many and was seeking virtual solace, and instead found ROK and some other manosphere blogs. I liked their ideas from the start and was interested in reading because it was identical to how I felt and similar to how I usually acted but it showed me other things that I had done wrong with girls as well. I really admire how the manosphere goes against a feminism-loving society that strives to be politically correct. I've been looking for more like minded individuals... Haven't been able to find very many in dc.

Ah cool, did you ever get a trip to Aus for an exercise? I remember a few kiwis around battalion in 2012, can't remember what ex it was for. I was unfortunate enough to get posted to my battalion 3 months after they'd just got back from Afghan so missed both trips.

Been reading this site and RoK for a while. Decided to make an account because fuck it. I'm 22, from PA but about to move to NY for work. I just graduated from college, and want to tighten my game up. Definitely regret not hooking up with more/hotter women in college and being so afraid to make moves on women that gave me such clear signals in hind sight. I'd much rather think "shit, maybe I was a little too aggressive" rather than "damn, I'm such a pussy for not making a move that time." I've even had some moments where a girl was over and I didn't even go for the k close. That's not ever happening again.
