I first started reading Return of Kings after checking out some link there on January. I bookmarked it and checked it out next time on February and started reading lot of articles there. Started reading Bang and did my first cold approach ever, which didn't go well and then I read rest of the Bang and decided to change my life.
The forum and ROK have been great asset in improving my life. I have:
- Started exercising almost daily
- Started doing cold approaches
- Become more aware in social situations
- Become more positive in general and started to enjoy life

Hi all, feels like it's been forever waiting a month for activation!
After a few years of reading and lurking it came to my attention that I need to give back to the community that has been so influential in my life. There were a few threads of regulars who had just up and left recently, either burned out or with hurt feelings. One of the strong undercurrents that I got from those threads was the feeling that their contributions and voices would be missed. It made me realize something: how selfish I was to be sitting here consuming content and not giving anything in return. So among other things, that's why I decided to join: to give back.
For a bit of background on myself, I'm around 30 and finishing up my very-delayed undergraduate degree in an engineering field. My philosophical journey and outlook on life have been greatly influenced over the last 6 years by the Great Recession, and it's been a little shocking to see the results of cultural trends here in the United States. Extrapolating those trends over a longer period is even more shocking. The voices of the community here have been great at trying to explain and analyze these trends, and my hat's off to all the great writers here. I hope to add my voice to the mix, and hone my nascent writing abilities (which hopefully haven't been too stunted by technical papers and academia).
As far as game goes, I've settled into aloof sniper game. I got no complaints and I don't get blown out as much as I used to. But I feel for Roosh when he talks about losing the energy to go out every night. As with all things, there's room for improvement, and, as much as I find that I'm not making noobie mistakes, I'm not anywhere near the level of some of the players on this forum.
My goals are probably the same as many here. I'd really like to secure a location-independent source of money, whether through starting my own business, being remotely employed, or winning the lottery. I believe the cultural and political trends in the anglosphere are making it a bad place to raise kids, so my long-term goal would be starting a life and a family in another country. And, of course, enjoying the company of beautiful women is a true pleasure, and increasing my ability to attract such women is just one aspect of the ultimate goal of a happy and fulfilling life as a man. And what is a happy life without the goal of good company and good conversation?

Hey. I'm in my late 20s and living in western NY (state, not city) at present. I've been consciously using game for about a year and a half. In my teens through about 22 I was what I'd consider a natural--lots of sex with lots of girls anyway--but I went into a bad blue pill spell for about 5 years. I snapped out of it after what seemed like my "perfect match" turned out to be the biggest basketcase I've ever dated, an utterly soulless cunt. I was majorly on tilt after her, so I started reading at MMSL first, then dozens of other blogs and 18 months later here I am.
It was a fascinating process as I grew to understand why I'd been successful or, sometimes, a total failure with women throughout my life. Looking back on how I acted when I was, say, 20 compared to how I acted at 25 with girls, I apparently lost my balls along the way. I think I was seeking stability in the form of a woman, and I was letting one-itis hamstring me completely.
Anyway, I'm a geologist and army veteran, but I'm about to start working for myself part time. Hopefully within 2 or 3 years I'll be able to support myself fully with my businesses. I'll probably buy a bit of land in rural AK as a home base and spend a large part of the year moving around the country, or visiting other countries if my income is large enough.
I don't really care about notch count or getting a bunch of ONSs. I'll bang cute girls opportunistically but I'd much rather build a soft harem. I'm here to share what I know, to get pointers on specific aspects of my game, and for ideas and inspiration for self improvement.

Evening all, I'd been lurking on and off for a while and decided it was about time I signed up. I'm from Central Scotland and still live here at the moment, but having lived abroad a few times in my life I'm looking to do so again in the future. I'm in academia at the moment but over the past couple of years I've opened my eyes a bit more to life and my future priorities are going to be location and income. My game has been on the back-burner for the past year due to focusing on my professional goals and moving back home temporarily to save some money, but I've reached a confidence now that when I get an IOI my conversation and charm will give me a decent chance of closing the deal.
In terms of my physique, I'm very average in looks and below average in height. I used to have terrible fashion sense, but I'm gradually building up a better wardrobe. During the worst period of my beta decline I was weak and fat, about two years ago. After a night of reflection I vowed to get in shape and the next day I signed up at the gym. I lost about 35lbs in body fat in the space of 6 months and have kept up regular workouts since, though a combination of a recent busy period, and indulging myself when I couldn't work out for a few weeks due to an injury, means I could do with losing another 5-10lbs again. I prefer bodyweight workouts to gym equipment, there's nothing quite as satisfying as attaching a bunch of weight to yourself and busting out a few pull-ups. Once I lose that 5-10lbs I'll probably be in the best shape of my life. When I lost all that weight I was getting far more compliments and second looks from girls than I've ever done in my life, it really does make a difference to have a solid physique.
I could write plenty more but no doubt you'll get to know more about me through future posts.

21, from Canada, due to our drinking laws I've been out in the field night gaming since 18, obviously a bonus. I've been reading game material and started with The Paragon Project and The Game when I was 16. I think its the psychology behind the game that interests me so much, and my interest in the manosphere has been prevalent ever since. I learned about this site through both Returnofkings and Christian McQueen's podcast.
I used to play hockey, rugby and currently am an avid bodybuilder and love the gym. Sustained a spinal cord injury about six months ago and am proud to say I'm a walking miracle (wheelchairs do help in picking up women but I said forget that).
Other than that, I work in sales, go to business school, and have some dreams I'm working towards in that regard; playing the stock market, and owning a mechanical and property management company in the future.

A big hello from a long time lurker of this forum and many others within the community. I've been into this stuff since way back in the early 2000's; Mystery Method and all that jazz. I decided it was time I started making a contribution after many years in the field, so here I am.
Age 31, born in Glasgow, Scotland and now living in London, England via a year spent in the US a few years back. I grew up in a broken home without too much love, and I learned to just deal with things on my own very quickly. I started to get successful with women only when I turned 18/19, albeit never really with the ones I wanted. I started lifting in 2009 and noticed a big upturn in quality. It works, end of. Now I'm in a LTR with a very sweet girl, but shaking off the thrill of the chase is challenging to say the least.
To be honest I'm not on here so much for the game aspect, but more to achieve self-improvement as a man overall. I believe that in any case this naturally leads to high quality women by default. As I mentioned before I've had to self-teach myself a lot of things in life because I didn't have any role models to teach me how to be a real man, and consequently I've lost friends over the years and found it hard to get close to people the more I've disconnected from the social hierarchies around me. Renegade Sigma resonates pretty well with me. Nevertheless my success with women has been getting better year after year, so I'll be more than happy to share any of my obsverations with you younger lads.
