I don't know you guys but I like locking up a girl for LTR if she is decent so I wouldn't want to build the relationships foundation on lies. It's very hard to find decent girls these days and once you find them you shouldn't lie about your business/accomplishments. If you're going to Asia to have bunch of one night stands then lie all the way. But after a while you get tired of having one night stands and short relationships.

Instead of wasting so much time faking it, I'd rather spend that time trying to make it big for real. It sucks that I'm not an American citizen, because Americans are at a huge advantage in Thailand business wise. They have a right to own 100% of a company based in Thailand while other foreigners can only own 49% at most. If your business becomes viable chances are your thai partners will try to screw you over since they hold the majority of the shares.

Mate you dont need to lie. You just dont need to print out your bank balance and wave it around... leave a little to the imagination.

The point is just that you can BS with guys in these circles and shoot the shit about business, which is a good "in". They are all doing the same. Talking about companies and deals and shit when they're basically live off their rich parents. It's all smoke and mirrors.

You can also be in an LTR with a girl without disclosing income. She'll get a general idea of the lifestyle with you based on your apartment and your spending. Money is rarely the dealbreaker once you're "comfortable" IMO

This pad is located in the Lebua State Tower. It has a rooftop bar where some scenes from the Hangover movie were shot!

So if a girl couldn't make it home to Songkran because she had work should I deduct the full amount of 5 points or just like - 3 points because she had a good reason?

Also the other day the same girl laughed at me when I slipped on a banana peel, should I deduct 5 points according to #26 in that case?

It's very important to know of she's proper marriage material so it's crucial that we get these subtleties right!

Agreed. I think 30k baht is way overpriced for a pad like that, based on the photos.

The unit I showed you is quite run down I agree, but lebua state tower has amazing facilities. The skybar is amazing, it has a huge swimming pool too. Obviously a staged unit would look better to the eye.

I like The River right across the river from the previous mentioned Lebua State. This unit was a little pricey but similar can be found for 30-35k negotiated.

Lebua is overpriced sh$t... nice hotel - yes, but the residential units no. Location nothing awesome as well.

I stay in unit like http://www.supremebkkcondos.com/rentals/...do-ref-no/ for 25 000 baht a month. Jacuzzi in bathroom (with glass walls), two pools, two gyms, cinema, communal living room... 5 minutes taxi to RCA or Soi11, few metres from MRT and Airport link + one stop/15 minutes walk to Asoke

The location of lebua definitely doesn't cater to everyone. I liked the location because it was close to all the halal restaurants. I'm not really a practicing muslim but when it comes to eating pork I do my best to avoid it.

Thailand is probably still the most accepting Asian country in terms of foreigners dating locals.

I'd certainly get a lot of flak from locals if I came to the US with a Thai girl. Heck even my parents may assume that she's Green Card hunting. These kinds of situations require you to be self-confident and immune to others' closed-minded points of view.

churros, the problem is with foreigners offering a sin sot (what is often called "dowry") that is disproportionate with the status of the girl.

A Thai girl can deserve a sin sot of 1 million dollars if she's a celebrity, but a low-class Surin girl should expect no more than 200,000 baht (virgin) or 10,000 baht (non virgin).

The problem comes with families actually keeping the sin sot. That's where "buying a girl" takes all its sense. A sin sot is supposed to be shown, a.k.a. given at the wedding but given back secretely the next day. In my case, it was like that.
