Ok, the rule is to keep your apartment squeakly clean. In those should-be-rare times when the exception presents itself, hide your dirty laundry, rinse your dirty dishes (even if you dont wash them, there is no reason to keep a tub full of crusty dishes), and light an scented candle.

Having fewer things means having to clean less things, and that can make you happier.

A couple of times in the past one or two girls have volunteered to do my dishes. This does not feels as pimp as it sounds. It actually embarrassed me to have a kitchen so dirty that a girl would feel the need to clean it before getting into bed.
