RE: Tariq Nasheed
Speaking to your own viewership on someone elses show is always a terrible idea. If you are appearing on someone elses show, you need to present your side in a manner that that shows viewership will understand, and even then it is an uphill battle. Terrible job by Tariq in this instance.

This doesn't make sense. If you go on a feminist man hating show, are you going to water down your views for the viewership of that show? When Roosh went on the Dr Oz show and there was a bunch of fat angry lizards, did one expect Roosh to say that fat is beautiful and that one should love lizards for what it's inside and not for how they look?

If he achieved what he wanted to achieve, then good for him.

This could also be a cautionary tale about maintaining frame too hard as well, because further down the line we have masters of frame, the gammas, who hold their frame no matter how ridiculous it looks, and lower down, the narcissists, whose frame becomes even stronger the lower they go, and we end up with schizophrenics, the ultimate masters of holding frame in absolute opposition with reality.

I don't know Nasheed's core audience well enough to know if he scored points with them, and sold more books or whatever, and got publicity with the right kind of people, and it was a win in the end for him.

My personal view as someone aware of him as a game coach and talking head was that he overdid it to some degree, so he never answered any question really, and answered questions with questions, and answered questions with counter accusations, and did a lot of weaseling about meaning of his tweets, and played dumb when Carlson challenged him.

I didn't see it as a win, and it lowered my opinion of him to some degree. There has to be some back and forth, and some reasonableness, and if you never engage a person directly, if you just use them to score points, in the end it reflects as badly on you as it does on them.

Not at all Moma. What I'm trying to say is that if you are going on someone elses show and you know you will be attacked from a certain angle, you should have a clear, concise argument backing up your position that the casual viewer would understand. Roosh did, Tariq did not. Tariq tried to weasel his way out and resorted to arguments that his fans already agreed, with, but didn't address the key issue at hand directly.

Was there a shift in the average viewers consensus on Roosh's brand of thinking after they viewed him on the Dr Oz show?

I don't think you can compare these two.

On Dr. Oz, Roosh was being straightforward, sharing his beliefs with a wider audience, and Oz was engaging in all the weaselly behavior.

On Tucker Carlson's show, it was the opposite. Carlson was demanding an explanation of Nasheed's tweets, and Nasheed was in complete denial about what he intended. His responses were a cascade of non-sequiturs.

For Roosh to be compared to Nasheed, he would have had to gone on the Oz show and said a bunch of stuff that only people in the forum would get.

It would confuse the audience. Why is he calling women lizards? Why the hate on Denmark? Do I even lift what?

By the way, I think my analysis was right about the appearance on the Carlson show. Nasheed was talking only to his fans.

On Nasheed's Instagram he has posted a snippet that makes it look like he called out Carlson's racism and left him speechless:

Since this thread won't be moved to Everything Else, I've created one there for non-Game discussion of him: /thread-59914.html

Edit: I created the second thread so folks can talk non-Game about him elsewhere. I didn't want to, but the mods wouldn't move this thread to Everything Else.

Never read any of his books but I have seen some of his Twitter posts and it's very clear he's racist. No one would dare call him out, though, in this far left PC society.
