A broad / thick Scouse accent does leave a lot to be desired. Luckily it is usually only the more common girls that sound like that. Unfortunately it is these types that attend events such as racing day, as they think it makes them posh.

I had tickets to the Royal Enclosure a few years back at Ascot...hat and tails etc.

It wasn't much of a step up from this rabble at Aintree.

My conclusion is that horse racing is for chavs.

LOL when I worked in Warrington in 2004 on an IT contract I was staying at the Lymm Village in about midway between Manchester and Liverpool - all the housekeeping girls had each bet a quid each (5GBP) on the Aintree Grand national steeplechase race...

One of the most exciting Steeplechase Races in the world about 45 riders start and 40 horses run riderless off through the side exits - only about 5 riders finish on their horses - sort of WWE mashed with Hunter Jumping in a roller derby on horseback race.

Very exciting over $1.5 Billion USD (750 Million GBP at $2.05 to one GBP at the time) was bet on the main event race so "Punters" and bulldog-faced female Punter hunters from all over the UK, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and even the EU come over for this race - ladies day is a couple days before the race so the elephant stampede subsides before trampling up the race course. Race day - by then most of the amateurs are hung over and out of the way - is all about the Quids (Benjamins in US parlance).

Several Bookmakers in every UK village to take your money and since no one knows which riders will actually finish the wild Steeplechase race still atop their mounts rather than tossed and trampled in bushes and moats - it is nearly pure profit odds for the Book Makers.

Still was one hell of an exciting race but now I know where the local New England females get their genetic inheritance from Boston Bulldogs to Kilimanjaro Queenies.

Yes , all high heels that aren't plastic are steel rods wrapped in whatever the designer chooses.

It funny that someone posted an elephant photo because high heels have more pressure per square inch than an elephant.

Its been over 15 years since I was last in the U.K. At that time, the women actually still looked pretty good. Today, judging from these pictures,they look terrible. What a collection of busted up old looking hags. The older ones, the ones that are 40 plus, just look silly with tattoos. This this is something that I'm noticing more of in the city where I live. Very sad state of affairs here.
