I've stayed in the Knightsbridge and similar buildings. The head-turning girls you see there - tall, gym body etc - are 80% Korean and Chinese visitors. Sure there are wealthy beautiful Filipinas in Manila, but Century City is not the place they would choose to buy a condo. The area has a bad rep, it's not a genuine hiso location. BGC, Rockwell, Alabang and parts of QC are those kind of enclaves.

There are about thirteen 8's in all of the Philippines.

I do not understand why people post photos of beauty pageant girls as if that is supposed to represent any reality in the country.

The red light district is one block away. So there is a perception if she stays or is in that area with a foreigner she is a prostitute.

This is true enough, if you meet a girl around there at a place like Royal or Time...chances are she's hunting.

Normal, respectable women do not go to Royal, Time or H&J.

The best part of the Century City area is the A Venue market, or whatever it's called. It's like a flea market with a big BBQ section near Makati Ave and there is a stage with live bands / entertainment and previously 50, now 60 PHP beers available.

A basic version of what you'd get at Spicy Fingers or Cowboy Grill at a fraction of the price. Full of locals and expats as well. I've seen groups of students still in uniform sitting around enjoying themselves.

But it's true. Where there are foreigners, there are opportunists. Many massage girls, ladyboys and hookers around. Burgos is very close.
