My trick for this is to order a soda water and ask the bar tender for it in a rocks glass (or whatever they serve vodka sodas in) and tip well ($1-2 more than other patrons are tipping on a full priced cocktail). If there's more than one bar tender, do this with each bar tender. Now if later in the evening a you're ordering drinks with a girl you can just tell the bar tender "I'll have another" or "Give me the usual" and they'll know give you the soda water in the rocks glass.

I'm going to need to do the sober thing more. I'm not a big drinker and I could go for long stints without touching any alcohol but when I drink it doesn't take much to cause problems the day after.

My stomach convulses for whats close to 8 hours and I cannot even stand to swallow my own spit. I should experiment with it more.
