Needing some assistance here. Met someone online and seem to connect quite well via email so far. I pushed her for her phone number and now I have it but she is asking for a more current photo and not to waste her time if I don't look anything like my profile photo.

The profile photo is about 2 years old and the other photos although more recent are of me overseas and I must confess that in those shots I look so much better than I do right now. Combination of sun and happy times I suppose.

Do I say I look like the photos even though I know I don't or do I send her a current photo? I, like most, do look better tanned and it is in the middle of winter here so the sun is on holidays.

Any ideas?

Amen. I want to stab my eyes out every time I read a "How do I impress/attract this one girl" thread. By the time you arrive at a dilemma like this you should already have forgotten about it, because of other female attention, better things to do, or both.

the big pic lesson all these replies correctly point to is that it's a numbers game: in order to quickly dismiss this type of difficult woman, you have to approach a lot so you don't get fixated.

crowd her out of your mind with new targets.

view the problem as your tendency to overfixate, not how to impress a particular demanding witch.

difficult women remain difficult. anyone who starts with negative stuff like "if you don't look like your pic, <ultimatum>"
is 100% discredited and should immediately be abandoned as in no more contact positive or negative from you.

I would go with something like:'Want to see photos? I had my suspicions that you were an undercover agent, now you've confirmed them. I'm not sure I can trust you now Special Agent (insert name)'

I did this once to a girl who asked me for my facebook before a date so she could 'vet' me. I told her that I wasn't aware she worked for the FBI and I would have to vet her now to make sure she wasn't undercover. Passed her little shit-test, got her on the date and never gave her my facebook.

Thanks to all for your replies. Been out of the game for 24 years, 7 of which single, so this site has been invaluable for information as I am trying to find my feet. I must say I couldn't believe her request. Sure I am 47 and she is 38 but no other woman has asked this of me so it did come as a shock.

How about saying the photos you have up ARE current photos?
