My humble thoughts on how Taipei, Tokyo, and Shanghai's talent graphs out:

Taipei: double bell curve
- more 8's and 9's compared to Tokyo
- but also more sub 5's
- essentially you will find more stunners here but also more ugly girls compared to Tokyo

Tokyo: standard normal distribution curve
- by definition, a normal distribution curve means 68% of data are within 1 standard deviation, which I personally define as 5-7 on a scale of 10.
- this translates to 68% (may be a little too high) of all girls being around 5-7, which in my definition means cute and bangable but nothing to get excited about.
- remaining 1/3 is split into the 1-4 and 7-10 range. This means only 1/6, or 16%, of Japanese girls are in the 7-10 range. Based on my experience, this is probably pretty accurate (1 or 2 girls per ten gets me excited).

Shanghai: There is no curve for Shanghai. My humble thoughts are that 95% of Chinese girls are unbangable. However, a foreigner/expat/tourist might see some 8'-9's because the places that any non-local will be frequenting are the ONLY places where pretty much all fly birds in China come. Think places like the Bund, Huaihai road, and Xintiandi. This makes things more tolerable when you go to venues like Nest, Unico, Myst, and Apartment.

I know this is not exactly "Northeast Asia" as the OP defined, but honestly for all intents are purposes, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese can all be categorized as East Asia. Difference between Northeast Asian and Non-Northeast Asian East Asians is pretty subtle on the grand scheme of things IMO.

These are just my humble opinion. Would love to see how other guys who have been to these cities compare!

Also, Korean girls all get plastic surgery but still aren't as hot as the Japanese...

Although I voted for Japan their obsession with crooked teeth is disconcerting. As a rule for Korean girls, if they have had mono lid surgery and they wear colored contacts, it's safe to assume they've had some other procedure done.

Yes, kpop is a big factor in peoples opinions but so is jpop, JAV, anime, etc. I see so many dudes pedestalizing the fuck out of average as hell Japanese girls.

There really isnt that much of a difference facial wise between the three countries. The main difference comes down to fashion and makeup and this is where Japanese girls shine. I believe it's because Korean and Chinese schools are much stricter so Japanese girls have had a much earlier head start on how to make themselves appear prettier.

It all comes down to wealth and nutrition. Obvious if you have money, you have access to better vitamins, makeup, natural food, less pollution and stress.

China: World capital of pork consumption, pork is always and mostly on every Chinese menu. Just a cheap form of unhealthy protein. China has alot of pollution, stress, long working hours, un regulated food, and more exposure to chemicals. This can only contribute to less quality in skin and bone structure. Worst fashion of the three.

Japan: Clean air, western level of pollution, best makeup, best fashion in Asia, best regulated standard food, and high consumption of seafood as a protein. We all know seafood is one of the best source of protein and omega 3.

Korea: Right in the middle, has way less pollution and stress than China, access to more vitamin and better makeup and more importantly high quality of real food and seafood consumption versus pork.

While I'm not complaining about the insane emphasis on beauty, I really wonder how hot Koreans would be without all the enhancement via surgery and cosmetics. If/when I get married to a Korean, I'm definitely asking for some childhood pics before all the procedures haha.

Probably has more to do with Confucianism which originated in China and spread to countries like Korea and Japan. Re: Vietnam - it was under Chinese control for a long time and northern Vietnam is closer to China. So basically all countries in the Chinese sphere of influence were heavily influenced by this belief system.

No one really calls it "Confucianism" the same way some Western academic might, but from a very young age, you are taught certain ways to behave in various social situations and overall, promiscuity and social liberalism (vs. conservativeness) are not promoted vs. maintaining order and respect.

Yea most Chinese people seem to have an unhealthy complexion from what I've noticed... Perhaps some is genetic but I'm guessing most of it stems from environmental factors

The Japanese tend to have a larger percentage of the population being at least 6s and above.

Koreans are taller and due to their craze on beauty tend to have nicer slender legs and great complexion. If you don't mind plastic surgery and more of a legs person, its Korea all the way.

China is the group that I have the least experience with. Taiwan is pretty good, largely mirroring Japan but I don't know too much about the mainland so I wouldn't comment too much.

I voted Korea on this because I'm a legs guy and after spending a year in Japan, agree wholesomely that their personalities, after putting away all that kawaii bs, is as interesting as watching paint dry.

Not everyone in America eats pork, the diet in America is very diverse. From fast food to whole foods. You should know, if your from California to Arkansas. Not everyone enjoys baby back ribs and bacon. Some enjoy a healthy diet of green veges.

You probably aren't that educated on the topic and haven't research the value of human nutrition and human optimization. Its well documented in western/modern nutrition to avoid pork in general.

If you don't believe me, Why don't you go on a high pork protein diet for one month, and see how your body reacts and feel.

Or try the inverse method, of trying to avoid pork for 3 months, and see how your body reacts, you can always do your own research and google eating pork and why to avoid pork.

Or perhaps try using your brain sometimes, instead of calling me a troll. Its well known around the world to avoid eating pork. You can always ask your local fitness instructor to medical professional.

Did you do your undergrad in Biology/Nutrition/Kinesiology? What do you bench? Squat? Deadlift? Do you look like Bruce Lee? If your answer to the above is not respectable, or you don't have 2% bodyfat, I suggest not assuming others don't have a similar educated viewpoint on nutrition.

I eat anything that I feel like, and no I'm not on a bulking routine. I'll grant the best physique I ever had was when I was in BKK eating non-processed food, but that's hardly refraining from pork. So maybe you'd like to take the higher ground here and point to some hard research that says pork is bad for health?

Funny you should say that. Perhaps the most common complaint that Japanese men have about foreign women (not just Koreans) is that they are "strong" or "scary". I suppose that J-girls really are the most submissive - even by Asian standards.

You don't have to be an expert to know this. A little dialogue with your local health nut, will reveal the lack of nutrition in pork. Its common knowledge around the world. If you don't believe me, go on a date with any hot Japanese, Brazilian, Polish or Russian girl. She will tell you, she doesn't eat pork and she avoids it like the plague.

I am not going to provide you with any research, you can do it yourself. Don't be lazy, do your own investigation and research.

Eyelids are the most common I know of. Koreans tend to have single eyelids and most are pretty conscious about it so they go under the knife to get double eyelids which they deem and I agree is more attractive. Asians also value a small oval face with a slightly thin chin and Koreans traditionally has wider faces. This leads to popular face slimming surgery to reshape their jaw structure to have sharper chins and overall a smaller face. The changes tend to be small subtle ones but have a pretty large impact on the overall looks. Its pretty fascinating to see how a slightly resized nose or some work done on the eyelids can turn a 5 to a 9 almost overnight.

My neighbor's nutritionist in Brazil paid me a visit. As a relatively younger guy who likes to work out & be active, she made dietary recommendations to me (applicable to ppl of all ages).

Fried Eggs - Can only be eaten once to twice per week MAX
Boiled Eggs - Can eat more often than fried eggs obviously
Pork - Once to twice per week MAX
Chicken and Beef - Good for you though beef offers more nutritional value than chicken overall despite being heavier
Vegetables & Carbs - I will get into this maybe in another thread because I don't want to get off topic too much. Personally, I eat a high concentration of salad, steamed, and/or stir fried veggies daily in order to help my digestive system out.

Back in 2012, I started year off around 155-160 pounds. Once I got in the habit of cooking pork chops & fried eggs for myself, my weight increased to 185 pounds despite running 5 times a week with minimal weight training.

As of now, I'm back at the 157 pound mark while still running but with more diversified weight & ab training not to mention obviously laying off the pork. It's hard because East/SE Asians like myself love fried eggs and pork. I just do it once-two times per week now.

My advice is you can eat pork dishes "outside" of home 1-2 times per week. However, do not buy pork and put it in your refrigerator/freezer. Cooking pork at home is obviously not unhealthy in itself but moreso the LEFTOVERS for consecutive days that will contribute to weight gain.

I spent 2 weeks in Seoul and it was fucking horrible. I had a good friend who was a local and he took me around everywhere. It was just fucking terrible. The main strip in Gangnam was the worst. I could not believe how many 3/10's I was seeing. Itaewon on the weekend was much better but still nothing compared to Tokyo in the good clubs and Taipei. I really do not understand why guys think Seoul is good.

It depends on who you hang out with and where. I have been to both nations. While I have been far outside of Tokyo, Seoul and environs is where i stayed in Korea.

Korean women, to me, are slightly taller than Japanese women. Korean women are more traditional, Japanese women more freaky. Korean women are more open to foreigners, Japanese women only in Tokyo. Koreans to me are more rude and things are more chaotic. Japanese apologize often and there is more order.

I saw a lot of 3's in Seoul, but a lot of 9's and 10's as well.....and not just in Itaewon.
