I got a new job in silicon valley and am now looking for a new place. I know the m/f ratio is atrocious, but I heard there's plenty of FOB asian girls in SF. Thus, I was thinking of possibly living around San Bruno or Daly City so my commute wouldn't be too bad and I could also meet FOB girls easier. I'm already aware that rent is really expensive, but I want to have at least some kind of social life. Anyone have any suggestions?

Are there really plenty of FOB asian girls? As in, bangable?

I'd think there would be:

-A number of tourists, granted
-The majority of FOB female immigrants being unattractive/dull STEM types

Thoughts?

I've heard universally that it's terrible for chicks. Remember, all the white nerds there also share that target market of mediocre dorky asian girls

IMO, OP would be better served in the long haul by:

1) Pumping the West for money, in this case, working his SV job while living as cheaply as possible (while still self-improving), so that he can
2) Dump the West for better women abroad.

Dumping the west for better women abroad is already my long term plan. But I don't want to keep living like a prisoner here for another few years

@262, now that is something new. European has a slender body I guess compare to American in general?

Now in Singapore, we are getting more and more westerners coming to work here due to sluggish job market in western countries, no, I m talking about the expatriate job. But your average joe kinda job. And the pay is no where near expat package. So we are witnessing the world is shifting from west to east so to speak. Btw, I guess Fast food culture is way crazy then I thought. When can people start to be health conscious man?

Makes sense. Jobs are moving to less socialist countries.

Lol at "world shifting from west to east". Singapore is hardly representative of asian economies. It's a city-state and a complete outlier when it comes to standard of living and GDP growth. A few more western chefs/personal trainers kicking around says more about the opportunities there and globalization in general, than it does about western job markets.
