Heard this dribble being smashed around the radio all day with talkback hosts giving it positive discussion as well.

ANZ are just shamelessly pandering to females and betas in the hopes of dragging some more customers in and giving the male CEO and board members more money. Smart really, it's just a shame that the general population is dumb enough to suck on the titty.
If you were in charge at ANZ would you really do anything differently? It's easy PR points to get more money for you and your family.

When the views of the general population shift, the corporations will shift to stay in tune with the consumers. But the consumers are generally stupid and sway in tune with whatever corporate advertising is rammed down their throat.

Me: So, men get paid more than women for the same job?

Woman: YES!

Me: So, why hire men? Why do these silly organisations pays millions more each year when they can hire women for less?

Woman: ...Why don't you support gay marriage?!

Is a Preschool Teacher, Customer Service Rep or a Nurse worth as much as a GP, a Plumber or a Mechanical Engineer? Progressives are still struggling to find a politically correct way to say 'Women make less money because their work is worth less.'

I trust the ANZ corporation is absolutely in compliance & up to date with all regressive requirements.

Do all personnel of the same position earn the same regardless of gender?
Are there sufficient bathrooms for all the squirrel-kin & the like?
I trust all their paperwork has sufficient options for all LGBTQRST!@#XYZ gender pronouns!

The big 4 banks in Australia are a financial cartel, they have no fucking business lecturing Australians on what is right and wrong.

They are deflecting the issue from the fact that after 100+ years of profiting of Australian economic growth (due to poor government regulation of the industry and lack of competition) they've closed shop for anyone who isn't asset rich or doesn't have asset rich parents or anybody who does not want to pay a monumental insurance policy on their mortgage.

I won't go into my own difficulties, but for those Australians who are under 30 and didn't have much help from parents can probably relate. The financial institutions are systematically segregating Australians lower middle income earning group by exceedingly high property values mixed with unobtainable finance.

That's my rant over. I just can't believe that the ANZ is lecturing Australians on what is 'fair'.

They're extremely fair.

In their Mumbai office both Women and Men get paid 11 rupees per hour.

I believe that 80% of their board is made up of men. Good for a laugh.

They don't really care about what is fair. They care that they appear to be fair. As KeeperNine has already said, large corporations official opinion on any matter will be whatever the popular is at the time.

If everyone in Australia was against gays, ANZ (and the other banks) would be condemning them, or at the very least, keeping silent.

But because the popular opinion about LGBTISQLEA people is positive, ANZ is in support of them. Lately whenever I log onto Twitter I get the promoted tweet about ANZ turning it's Oxford St branch into GAYNZ with a GAYTM.

Their campaign isn't really to support gays, or to be fair to women. It's to make money.
