RE: Would you date or marry a woman outside of your socioeconomic class?
In the past, when it came to dealing with women of differing economic classes, the conventional wisdom used to be "treat whores like queens and queens like whores". The idea being that if a girl came from a poor-to-middle class background, she'd be more apt to spread her legs if she were given some special treatment; a girl who already came from an upper class background would be more receptive to your dick if she were brought down a peg or two first. I think the phrase should be modified for modern times to something more like, "treat whores like whores".
Regardless of class or lack thereof, all women employ the same general tactics/deceptions. The only real difference is the price they're willing to accept to rent out their holes. Rich girls don't really need money, that's what Daddy's for. So, they have no qualms about fucking poor thugs for the excitement/novelty of it, but due to the hypergamous nature of ALL women, will of course still be willing to fuck guys at their own station in life or above. Poor to middle-of-the-road girls (while still not above fucking poor thugs for excitement/novelty) are also looking to make their way up in the world and their stock-in-trade is sex. Of course most won't admit that openly, but any student of game knows how the world really works. It would be foolish to think you could earn enough to ever "buy off" such a woman, (this is an oft-repeated beta mistake) as there's always some guy out there who earns more. Truly, game is the great equalizer, for it makes it possible for even a man of meager means to snag pussy away from a king.

Plenty of daddy's money to spend on shrinks and unlimited-repeat valium prescriptions. They also seem to be on a perpetual hunt for alpha males that have even more wealth/fame than them... a doomed quest 99% of the time... because the alphas simply don't want the same things, are taken, or aren't alphas. Many of them are too silly to realise it and keep picking 'bad boys' who abuse the hell out of them, and in one sad case I've seen just siphon their cash away.
Ahh, another man dealing with the bona fide Australian female.
I think the question is multi-factorial. I think fundamentally a woman's socioeconomic status has zero influence on her attractiveness to us. A woman who is aesthetically a 4 is still a 4 whether she's a doctor, a lawyer etc. and therefore unless you're willing to put a ring on it and divorce rape her yourself - why go there?
You kinda wonder to what extent do women consider this before embarking on long-winded careers - as in, consider the fact that such careers have no real baring on their fundamental SMV. The guy she might be searching for isn't putting a ring on that doctor who's a 4 regardless - and more than likely he's going to cop her added sense of folded-arms-entitlement because of the fact she thinks her career makes her a 7.
Such is the plight of the 'career-minded' woman.

RE: Would you date or marry a woman outside of your socioeconomic class?
The OP was asking the question as an America. I live in Britain and social class means something different here. In Britain you can be billionaire wealthy but "working class" or "working class background". Likewise someone could be "upper class" but with modest wealth.
I've thought about this a fair bit. Most of my friends tend to be "sort of" outside the "traditional/typical" British class structure in some way. For example working class but wealthy, or "posh background but not overly-materialist", or wealthy but non-showy etc
One thing I prefer about foreign women is they are more likely to be outside the class categories of Britain. Certainly so for former Soviet Union countries and some of Europe.
Upper class women often want their kids at private schools. But I would never want that (why would I want my own kids to hate me?) I can date upper class women, but often their families/friends I find a pain up the arse. Middle class women seem a bit superficial and social climbing with airs and graces, which I find really stupid. And working class women, again have their own interests which seem different to mine. So the best solution for me is to marry a foreigner, or someone who is "a bit of an anomaly" in the British class system.
With women I go for looks, fun/personality/common interests and also values/morals. She needs to have some intelligence but as I only date 18 to 30 yr olds, socioec status isn't a big thing one way or the other. I mean, early in her career she may do really well, but at 24 or whatever, I really don't mind if she's earning fuck all. Personally, my pride is in being able to be a breadwinner.
