This card for travel was unfuckingbelievable!

If you exchange dollars for Reals at a bank, you get hosed. I exchanged $150 for Reals at an exchange rate of 3.57 when the actual rate was 3.97.

Shortly after exchanging for Reals at my local bank, I found this card. I "topped" it off at $1000 and then went on my trip to Brazil.

This card would give me 4.007 Reals per dollar when the actual exchange rate was 4.0092 a difference of 0.0022! This made shopping extremely fun and the app would give you a real time dollar spent amount when purchases were made in Reals.

Pretty much every merchant in Brazil uses chip readers. You enter this card, which uses mastercard, and then enter your pin.

I even made a withdrawal from Banco do Brasil to get cash and did NOT get dinged for a fee!
