Visiting Asia for the first time
I am heading to Asia in late April for 7-8 weeks with 2 friends of mine. We are all mid 20s and I am wondering which cities are absolute musts to visit? We are going to hit up Thailand, and Vietnam for sure.

I am a travel amateur. I've bounced around North America as a university athlete and traveled to California/Vegas a few times for a couple weeks but always with a large group so I know nothing of how to plan a trip, logistics, what I need to see and how to get cheap flights (besides clearing your cookies).

I am really excited going with 2 good friends as well, we are looking to party and see a handful of temples and things, but lame touristy stuff is probably a pass. 1 friend wants to keep things cheap so he wants to avoid Japan/Korea, but I really want to go to Japan.

No official planning has been done yet, but mid/late April for 6-8 weeks around Asia are the dates.

^ I think it depends on his goals. Nothing in the OP suggests to me that vagina is his main priority, which would be the reason to pick the Philippines based on being white.

He said he's "looking to party and see a handful of temples". Based on that, I'd say Thailand is a much better bet.

RE: Visiting Asia for the first time
I usually don't ever recommend tourist visits to Beijing, but since you're travelling late April, there couldn't be a better time to come see this city.

There are the usual tourist sites, include several that everyone should see in their lifetime, just so that they can say they've done it (Great Wall, Forbidden City), but you get all the advantages of a modern, world class city.

You'll be able to check out the budding craft brew scene, easily fuck modernized Chinese 6's and check a million other things that this city has. It really depends on what your interests are. Just travelling around this city is a pretty exciting experience of the uninitiated.

April is skirt season in Beijing. The girls take off the horrible leggings they've been wearing for the past 8 months and begin wearing short skirts over bare skin. It's a sight to behold.

If you go to Hanoi, Vietnam, you can actually take a rather affordable overnight train from their to Beijing, which is going to be good for anyone on a budget.

I'm the King of Beijing!

I am white and lean 6' 175~ athletic build. One friend is Chinese 5'8 and a cut 145. The other is from Burma 5'4 and a little pudgy at 140.

We are going to party and meet girls, but we aren't going for 2 months to only fuck girls. I think my Burma friend really wants to go crazy and fuck a lot of girls, my Chinese friend and I want to fuck girls but also want to see some cool shit.

Is it seriously that easy? I've got Asian fever to a fault (living in Vancouver does that) but no filipina flag yet. Think vietnamese chicks are my favorite but we are going to bounce around a bit to several countries

Yes, it really is that easy. Even your omega friend will get laid in the phils as long as he plays up the confident western beta persona.

Tell your Burmese friend not to tell anyone he's Burmese.

If he can pull it off he should go with Korean. Tons of Koreans in the Philippines.

RE: Visiting Asia for the first time
My favorite city in Asia is Taipei, but I wouldn't recommend it if it's your first time in Asia. It's also a bit boring if you don't know locals there. Bangkok is awesome. Tokyo is a must, but it's pretty hard to get laid there if you don't know what you're dong. Bangkok is easy to get laid, (there's also a great p4p scene if that's your thing, but I won't talk about it on this forum). Bangkok is probably your best bet if it's your first time going to Asia. Sometimes the "third world" aspects get annoying though, like taxi drivers constantly trying to rip you off. It's not even about the money, it's just annoying how it's nearly impossible to avoid those fuckers trying to scam you. Japan, Taiwan and Korea are nice because you won't have low class mother fuckers trying to G you at every corner.

How long do you want to stay in a city for?

If your friends don't want to go to Japan it might be best to go on your own accord. I feel like you need to stay in Japan for at least a month to do it justice, there is a lot to do there. I'm planning on going there with in a year or so myself.

I actually agree that Bejing might not be bad for this type of trip. I didn't like Bejing much, but it is good for sight seeing. I'd see the Great Wall and Forbidden Palace and dip to some other Chinese city.

I'd play it safe and go to Bangkok with your buds. Ton of pussy, cheap drinks, decent exposure to a poor country without it being too uncomfortable.

Can't go wrong with Philippines, Vietnam or Cambodia either I think - they all sound pretty fun if you're riding with your buds.

RE: Visiting Asia for the first time
Everyone is different man, I suggest you read through the hundreds of threads here on all the Asian countries. We can only really tell you what we would personally do with 8 weeks in Asia. My itinerary would go something like this;

Thailand (BKK)
Cambodia (Phnom Penh, Siam Reap)
Vietnam (HCM/Hanoi)
Philippines
Japan (Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka)

With 8 weeks I'd choose 4 of the above countries and spend 2 weeks in each.

South East Asia is great because you can do it cheap and score some women. Japan is a must do.

At his 5'4 height and desire to bang, he definitely needs to go to the Phils - some of the shortest women I've seen in big-city Asia.

Also, if he can't pull off Korean but can pull off some Latin American, go with that. Otherwise roll with Thai.

But, if he has a Western accent and fluent English, he should lead with that where ever the accent is from - Canadian, American, etc.

It's really that bad? Jesus I had no idea.

I'm going to push hard for Japan now. Nobody here suggested Korea which is odd. I've always considered doing the whole teach English thing but I've only got a 2 year degree so never bothered looking too far into it.

I'll also read through the hundred's of posts in the travel section.

You should already know if you and your friends can get laid in all of these countries living in Vancouver.

If you are consistently able to bang the Chinese, Koreans and Vietnamese in Vancouver then pick and choose a destination.

It's not like the girls magically have lower standards in Asia.

If you do go to the Phil keep in mind that at least in my experience it has some of the ugliest chicks in Asia. It also is significantly poorer than most of the rest of SE Asia. A lot of the girls going after foreigners are sometimes doing that for a living. The food also is subpar by Asian standards.

For now at least, Burma is still a poor country. Most Burmese people going to other countries in Asia are usually unskilled migrant workers.

RE: Visiting Asia for the first time
Easy girls- Phil
Mainly Sightseeing- China
Westernized Asia- Singapore
Shopping- Thailand(Bangkok)
Prettiest girls(IMO)- Japan

Asia is the biggest continent so I can't really give you any specific country unless you give us more detail on what is your biggest desire in coming to Asia. Also, if you plan to spend 2 months in Asia, know that the same amount that gives you 1 week in Thailand/Vietnam wouldn't last you 2-3 days in Tokyo/Seoul. Plan the countries well according to your budget. If you need more intel on any specific country, I think our brothers here would be happy to help.
