No surprise this couple lives in Fishtown. Fishtown is kind of the Brooklyn of Philadelphia and attracts a lot of hipsters. It also tends to attract the most feminized of males. The very liberal and "looks dont matter" crowd tend to live there. A typical night out in this neighborhood: you'll see tons of beta orbiters following around average ass hipster girls and even some white knighting. I got "warned" by a bouncer one night at a bar there for touching a girl's back. (she didn't complain or anything)

Anyways, this guy does not look happy. I wouldn't judge him for staying at home with the kids. Its probably the best part of the day before the beast comes home from a long day of work and asks him to cook him dinner. At this point he's probably in the relationship just for the kids. Its possible the wife looked ok 5-10 years ago.

Doubt it, I'd love to see some evidence to back that up.

Case in point almost all of the players I know ended up having a daughter.

One of my best friends has a daughter with a known cock carousel, she actually turned out to be a great mother.

To their credit I see the comments are mostly "Stop writing fucking women's articles and then search/replacing 'mum' for 'dad'."

"Enjoying the time away from the kids" in the present day is often a symptom of someone who's a resentful shit when you're actually with them. Believe it or not, kids don't actually want you hanging around them hours on end - but when they do want to be around you, they want you not to be an irritated, uninterested arsehole -- as a lot of women and, like it or not, a fair number of men are because they see their lives as still revolving around themselves and the kids as second priority.

People aren't actually feeling guilty when they like their time away from the kids. Guilt is for those dwindling numbers of people in churches of outdated Flying Spaghetti Monster memes. Church is for people who believe in gods other than themselves. No, most narcissistic parents are much, much more afraid of being caught out by other people having a good time away from the kids. That's shame - not guilt. This is designed to play to the reader's narcissism, play to the idea that once you have kids your own identity can still come first.

This reminds me of a buddy I saw a few months ago. We hadn't hung in a bit. He's got a corporate job where he doesn't have to go in much anymore, a 10 month old boy, and a wife at a major financial consulting firm.

We'd made plans to get dinner and see a movie, but an hour before meeting he phoned to say he couldn't go out. The wife had to work late, and so he had to watch the kid. So I went up to see him, hung out and bulshitted.
He lifts and is still in solid shape, but he's basically a prisoner to her job. His attitude was "gotta help out cause this is how it is." Like clearly under the impression that "being there" and putting up with this shit was the way to go.
I shared some of my ups and downs in the game, the craziness of online dating and SA, but really I just wanted to tell him that what happened to him tonight is fucked. That he shouldn't put up with that kind of shit. And that it's only going to get worse.
Is there even any real way to drop some Red Pill on someone trapped in a situation like that? Seems like at that point they're pretty much fucked.
