I would say by their confidence that shows in how they walk.

In saying that most guys when they punch on will show a range of emotions on their face, those that have trained are usually calm. But by that stage the situation has IMO gotten out of hand for the most part.

I'm just a kid acting tough on the internet. If my trousers fit it is because my mum still dresses me.

A lot of pro MMA fighters are perfectly unassuming and super friendly.

So you really know never know who you're fucking with.

Another thing is the element of surprise.

If you're a disarming and polite chap but kick off without hesitation when somebody disrespects you, your opponent will be one step behind and it could easily cost him the fight.

Then there are the guys who puff up, put a puss on, and walk around with fake lats but can't defend a double when the time comes.

I think it's generally more advantageous to look harmless but in actuality be a killer than to act tough with nothing to back it up.

Things aren't what they appear with people in this area.
