(Canada) Interprovincial moving methods
Hello

I'm looking into moving cross province this year and have been inquiring around about the most cost effective and least risky way to move my belongings from BC to AB. I looked into that "pods" thing and it seemed to be a big scam and a lot of people had complaints . I did however really like the concept . My question is if anybody knows or has done a cross province move that hasn't been to costly ?

Thankyou!

RE: (Canada) Interprovincial moving methods
I moved to BC from AB earlier this year and stayed for a few months, decided that I didn't like it so am moving back, when I moved to BC, I packed all of my personal belongings into my car and drove to the coast, so that was pretty easy. I haven't moved back yet so have my car loaded up and its sitting in a storage lot ($50/month) and will remain there for the next six months until I go back there and drive it to AB, I had to leave my car there because you can't drive through the mountains without snow tires I shipped five suit cases of clothes and other personal belongings via Grey Hound bus, that was also relatively easy and cheap. You can load all of your stuff onto transport trucks that specialize in interprovincial moves and if you don't want to drive your car, you can put that on a train and they'll send it to AB. I don't know much about PODS but finding storage in AB shouldn't be a problem.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

I did your method earlier this year when I travelled there for shorter stay but now I'm looking to move all my furniture and stuff so my truck will not do. I heard U-haul can bring your stuff for you w/ insurance . Sick of BC? I wonder if we're leaving for the same reasons
