Guatemala City, Guatemala




Overview

Guate City is one of the largest city in Central America. It it is divided into 22 zones and is pretty spread out. Luckily though there is only a few areas you need to check out. There is some nice places but overall this city is pretty depressing looking on a whole.

Girls

The worst chicks I have seen on a whole. But I did see a few dimes. Also I must add these chicks seem highly repressed and lacking personality. Tons of indigenous chicks. Also alot of these girls are very conservative and religious. Some girls I meet would not even go to a club bc it was "bad" lol

Side Trips

Tikal is fucking AMAZING! It is a must visit. Takes about 10 hours by bus. I recommend taking the night bus.

Antigua is a pretty cool lil town. It is MAD touristy though. Do not stay at The Black Cat Hostel. It fucking sucks ass! Go up to the cross on a hill over looking the city, great views.

Lodging

Id def stay in Zona Viva. As it is where all the nightlife is. I would recommend Quetzalroo Hostel if your on a budget like I was. Friendly knowledgeable staff. If not, then just tell the taxi driver to take you to a nice hotel in Zona Viva.

Things to See & Do

Central Market is pretty cool. It is next to the Metropolitan Cathedral. It has two floors with tons of interesting crafts. Obelisk Park is pretty nice and it is where they have alot of concerts outdoor activities. Was wanting to hit up the Zoo but didnt have enough time.

Daygame Spots

I only hanged out in parque central (main plaza) and the Oakland Mall. Pretty active and lively main plaza, lots of people walking about. The Oakland Mall is real nice. Three stories with pretty much everything you can imagine. This is prob the best place to for meeting chicks.

Nightlife

Zona Viva is where you will focus ur attack. Zona Viva is in Zone 10 around Avenida Reforma and Bulevar de Los Próceres. Everything is pretty much walking distance so my advice is to go out around 11pm and see what is bumping. Also check out Cuatro Grados Norte in Zona 4. If you are staying in Zona 1 and dont feel like going to far from your hotel there is some bars and live music joints in the area to check out. I hit up Kalua in Zona Viva. Really liked this place, played great music and there was lots of horny bitches. Was alittle crowded but hey, better to crowded than to empty. Staying in the dam hostel prob cost be a bang that night. Kalhua and Stage seem to be the two most popular spots right now.

Good stuff.

Despite having basically no attractive girls, I really liked Guatemala. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed my time there. There are a lot of things to see and do, it's cheap, and surprisingly the food was fantastic.

I should write up an Antigua data sheet one of these days. I only spent a day in Guatemala City. Everyone in Antigua told me I'd get robbed and stabbed there, lol. From what I could tell, all of the middle/upper class chicks drive out to Antigua to try and net themselves a gringo anyway. But yeah... Guatemala may have the worst quality of any country I've ever been to. I did net myself a decently attractive one, but that was after going out like three nights in a row and seeing absolutely nothing every time.
