^Ok I can agree with you on those points, I just wanted to point out that the “good old days” weren’t all that great, especially if you go back to the pre-1970s days.

My main point is that the country is not the country I grew up in anymore. I was born in the early 70's so I'm only speaking of my personal experience.

I'm fully aware that some of Trudeau Sr.'s policies and decisions have led us to where we now are, and I used to be a big believer in multiculturalism and equality for all, and in fact I still do believe in some of that.

I think the big difference is that in the 70's and 80's, most immigrants brought something of value to the country when they came, and then bought into the idea of keeping your traditions but at the same time assimilating to this new country.

My city got flooded with Ethiopians, Somali and Lebanese immigrants in the 80's and 90's. Most of the Lebanese families seemed to buy into the big picture, but I guess they were mostly Christians escaping the war.

Nowadays, when I read the papers online or watch the news, and I see all the crime and violence that is rampant in a lot of areas, and then I read or hear the names read out, when they bother to identify them at all, I have to wonder what bringing those kinds of people to our country accomplished.

I don't see any net positive with importing criminals and others that aren't interested in any level of assimilation and in fact reject western society entirely.

It makes no sense.

It should be "all are welcome, but this is how we do things here, leave your baggage behind."

Doesn't look like that is what's actually happening though.

The problem a lot don't know or understand is you cannot vet most of these refugees. There is no system to refer to for background checks or even to verify birth records in a lot of these countries they're coming from. In fact many use other countries to circumvent the system to get to their desired country.

For example if one was a was a "refugee" say from Yemen or Syria they could first try to gain some records in some other country and find a "sponsor family" like say Egypt, Pakistan or Saudi Arabia and many actually do it in Punjab India. One could use a Mosque network to find a powerful/wealthy anti-western family that will vouch and create all the needed documents (in the system). If Punjab they can fake being a Sikh and use their system to get credentials in exchange for money. Also many will even go to Lebanon and pretend to be Christians and get a host family to sympathize and get them what they need.

Then they basically enter the west from those countries. The problem with refugee claims is they are as hard to prove much like asylum seekers which has many classifications. Both US and Canadian immigration laws are very very vague and I'm sure even more vague certain countries in Europe.

A lot of people here in Moldova use asylum to get into the US or Canada. Based on my observation I don't see why some Syrian could not fly in here and essentially get the needed documents and claim to be Ganguz, Turkish or even Romanian later when entering the West.

If under age 35 they can enter a college and pop over on a easy to get work study visa.

After that all they have to do once in the West is visit the Inaam at the local Mosque and get a wife and boom (again no pun intended) they are free to live with all the PC Canucks and have a virtual leftwing shield around them.

This is what happens when the target country is ruled by politicians that never lived in the seedy underbelly of very poor corrupt countries. Guys like Trudeau are used to meeting the aristocrats and only hearing nice things. He lives in his own little globalist safe space. It amazes me what people base their reasoning for voting people in office like Trudeau.

Note I also spent a lot of time in Cuba with my father as a child sailing around. Not sure why Cuban politics, culture and living conditions is so appealing to the left. They need to hang out in one of the wards in New Orleans and ask themselves could I survive if my whole country was like this place.? I'd say that would be a hard NO for anyone with the intellectual capacity of at least an 8 year old.
