At this point there is not much information I can give because quite frankly there are plenty of foggy things, I suppose we'll just keep adding things.

It seems that MUD has beat PSUV, Maduro's party. The electoral process was marked by some frauds, including delaying the end of the votes twice. Also reports of people forced to vote in the PSUV, of vote machines marking the votes as null (null goes to the PSUV), of cops and groups of chavistas threatening people while they were voting.

Former presidents also barred from voting in certain instances. Maduro is said to be preparing a coup in light of this loss. It seems that despite their best efforts, the opposition has indeed won. Let's see if it will be recognized.

Nevertheless, here's to another sign of change! Though it seems there will be some turbulence still, even though it's obvious the opposition has won, it is not certain it will be able to form government.

Some more information. Unoficially, the opposition has 70% to 80% of the votes.

However, I am NOT sure they will win the elections anyway. I'll explain, the electoral system is digital and prone to fraud, there is a distinct possibility that they will try to multiply the PSUV votes, count dead people as voters, or override votes in opposition into null votes (null vote means PSUV vote).

Let's not celebrate just yet.

Edit: A confirmed two thirds majority for MUD! There's no turning back! The Left will be finished!

Update: MUD has been confirmed as the official winner. So far everything has been smooth, they have supposedly been robbed of around 20 MP's though, still the majority in parliament by a long margin!

Madura was talking about doing a counter revolution to defend the country, but he is quiet for the moment. Meanwhile in Argentina CFK is creating a lot of drama with the change of administration...

So, two-thirds of the MPs go for the opposition, which thus should be able to override Maduro's abusive presidential decrees.
