A great deal of the viewer traffic and donations come from asia and the middle east, even for western streamers.

I find it odd that people would donate money to watch things like this. I don't know how you would use this fame/skillset to serve you in life, but it can get you paid.

Maybe some of these kids get paid by the companies that created the game because they create viewer traffic, which in turn causes some of the viewers to pick up the games or subscribe to different services the company provides. Guess it could make sense.
