Russian airplane bombing in Egypt
Once again, Western people have fallen victims of their pursuit of cheap, "easy" (short flight from Europe), sunny holidays by the sea. Confused

I mean, these poor victims of the Egyptian (Russian) plane tragedy... they join the victims of last Summer' Tunisian beach attacks, in the growing list of middle-class European people who fell victim to terrorism.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Sousse_attacks

Anyway, I want, with all due respect to the fallen, to highlight the fact that these people took a real, unnecessary risk, just to save a few bucks and a few (tedious, admittedly) hours in a plane.

Because, for just a few dollars more, they could have gone to Cyprus or the DR or the Canarias islands, for example. And, they perfectly knew the risks involved with going to Tunisia or Egypt... still, they went to those places... Huh

So, it teaches us something: being cheap (let's save 100 USD on our holiday) and kinda lazy (the DR is too far, it's tiring to sit in a plane for hours), bring negative consequences. It's much better to travel farther, spend a little bit more, and be safe (at least not willingly go to terrorist-activity zones)...

Disclaimer : I of course do not blame the children brought by their parents, or the lower-middle class Russians who really could not pay 50 or 150 dollars more, to go to safe Cyprus or even SEA (some EE people really can't afford to pay 100 usd more, I know and respect that).
I just blame adult middle-class tourists, who chose to go to Tunisia or Egypt, for their cheap "easy" dose of sun, where they knew the risks.

In France, I've talked with people, they say, ok it's risky to go to Tunisia-Egypt, but, fuck it, have you seen the prices, it's such a bargain, let's go Dodgy ... These people are stupid, because they do have the money to pay more and go to Cyprus or Greece or DR or Cartagena, but no, the cheap, lazy ("I can't stand to stay seated on a plane for hours", they say) dudes go to terrorist-infested zones...

Have you a driven a car or taxi lately? Much more danger than taking a plane from Ukraine to Russia or Europe to the Middle East.
You have much to learn son.

Ok, but what is upsetting is the reasoning of the people I met, who do go to Tunisia or Egypt... They know there are some serious risks, but go there anyway "just for the sun and sea" Dodgy... So, to sum it up:

they could pay a bit more (they are not poor!) and go to safe places like Cyprus or even Cuba, but no, they go to Tunisia-Egypt, for only two reasons: a bit cheaper, less hours in the plane. So, well, I find their choice of destinations driven by bad motivations: a bit of money saved, less time sitting on a plane.

Just walking in Brazil is 10 times more dangerous than taking a plane anywhere. I love it. And you should too.

I like Brazil too, been to its Southern resorts, not dangerous at all actually... But, talking about NE Brazil: You did give me curiosity and interest about Manaus, by the way Wink ...

Anyway, in Egypt, risks are not just taking the plane, it is also getting on a bus, several tourist buses having been attacked last year... Why chose this destination, especially considering that most tourists don't care about the Egyptian old history and culture, going there only for sharm el sheik...?

Not trying to undermine your thread. I am sure most beginner travelers are concerned about this issue. Just that, with experience, you will see that you really shouldn't.
Just like having worried about getting an A on some bullshit university exam in the past.

I've been to Sharm el-Sheikh (where the Russian plan originated) multiple times and never felt it to be unsafe in any way. Amaing food, views, scuba diving and weather. The place is paradise (the non-pussy type).

The timing and coverage of this event screams false flag if I've heard of one.

So you think an anti Russian government planted a bomb on a Russian plane? Don't you think the Russian and Egyptian investigators are going to catch something like that pretty quickly?

I have a feeling this bombing is some sort of revenge on Russia for that flight downed in Ukraine.

Currently, it is unknown what was the actual reason.
My bet is bad maintenance rather then bomb.

More likely revenge for their intervention in Syria.

Relativity is the name of the game. The literally tens of thousands of other flights that occur every other day aren't mentioned but they still happened.

Heinlein's Razor

Bad maintenance is a possibility, definitely...

That plane was an old plane, bought from a second-tier, charter Turkish company (Onur), by a Chechen oligarch.

Russian "MSM" currently avoid talking about this Chechen oligarch, in order not to incite "racism" and social unrest.

But I think the most plausible explanation would be, a bomb inside that plane, planted by an airport employee.

In France, a famous red-pill politician, De Villiers, wrote a book on how 50% of airport employees in Western Europe, are young, non-vetted, affirmative-action, often islamist employees.

http://www.albin-michel.fr/Les-Mosquees-...2226172648

"On découvre ainsi à travers cette enquête, preuves à l'appui, que des islamistes sont parvenus à infiltrer les services de sécurité des grands aéroports et à prendre le contrôle de zones entières où transitent bagages et passagers."

in English: islamists (and migrants) have succeeded in infiltrating the security services of big European airports, taking control of entire areas where luggage and passengers transit

Not necessarily. This "chatter" from "one other government" is not another government saying "we did it", it's (or so I surmise from what I read) just French intelligence agencies communicating between themselves, to state that their informants told them that "a bomb was planted in the cargo hold".

Yeah, it could be interpreted like you did. But anyway, it also means one country got that intel and did not shared with Russia.

The bomb theory is certainly the most probable one right now. A modern jet like an airbus a321 doesn't just drop out of the sky from cruise altitude.

However the aircraft sustained substantial damage to the tail during a hard tailstrike on landing at Cairo in 2001. So structural failure cannot be discounted.

RE: Russian airplane bombing in Egypt
I refuse to go to any of these kind of places simply because I try not to spend a single penny in Muslim countries, particularly UAE.

Remember Chechnya?

This is Russia we are talking about. Putin doesn't fuck about.

ISIS are going to pay very dearly for this.

PM me for accommodation options in Bangkok.

RE: Russian airplane bombing in Egypt
Apparently a British flight to Sharm El Sheikh came within a 1000 of a missile back in August.

Quote:The insider added: “The first officer was in charge at the time but the pilot was in the cockpit and saw the rocket coming towards the plane.

“He ordered that the flight turn to the left to avoid the rocket, which was about 1,000ft away.”

Holidaymakers were not told they were just seconds from a catastrophe after the jet was safely landed on August 23.

The source also revealed the same missile was also spotted by another Thompson plane as it approached the popular resort.

They told the Mail: “The crew were told the rocket was from an Egyptian military exercise, but with what has happened there is a lot of fear.

"The incident left staff petrified.”

I have been to Egypt several times, and I have visited virtually ever spot: From Cairo to Luxor, Sharm to Sinai, etc.

It came to my attention on my last trip that many Russian tourists were fond of Hurghada (a port city on the Red Sea). Also, there was a brisk little skin trade going on there (of Russian women) along with some heavy Vodka consumption. Apparently, this had angered some Egyptians who frowned upon alchohol and prostitution.

Could this attack have been a terrorist response to Russian vices? I have not heard this particular angle from media reports, but my personal experience points to this as a possibility.

Nonsense I must say. Those Egyptians who frown upon alcohol and prostitution probably drink and whoremonger more than the russians or other westerners.

Video of super sexy middle aged British women on holiday shrieking at the man whose job it is to keep them safe.

Trigger warning ----- not actually sexy.
