RE: Feminist Filmmaker (ha) Starts Kickstarter For Documentary on MRM
Just saw this last night with another forum member. Actually was really great and I recommend watching.
Paints MRA's favorably and I would even say paints modern feminism in a pretty negative light.
Conveys that men of today have real issues, many of which caused by being alienated by the 50+ year long campaign to give women a leg up to change their role in society while men's roles are still expected to be the same. Does a great job of spelling out a lot of the myths and misinterpretation of the landscape and even shows how modern feminism has become somewhat delusional, over-compensating, and even violent.
Biggest takeaway for me that I think could become a documentary in and of itself was when they touched upon feminsim as an industry. There is a lot of money being made off of the perceived perpetual struggle of women, and this is self sustaining. It's really a bureaucracy. Think about it, will there ever be a time where everyone will just brush their hands and say "welp women have made, I guess our job is done!" and close up shop on the hundreds and thousands of feminist-movement-based businesses and organizations?

RE: Feminist Filmmaker (ha) Starts Kickstarter For Documentary on MRM
I thought the documentary was fantastic.
What's interesting about MRAs is - I want to be careful not to turn the victimhood narrative around and become a reverse feminist, but the statistics on male suicide rates, alimony payments, etc can be used to totally destroy feminist dogma. The reality is we live in a world that values "talking about" and "listening" to women's issues more than men's issues.
The difference is we aren't attention-starved loud mouthed psychopaths who march on Washington with genitalia-shaped hats to feel oppressed. We know intrinsically what the anecdote to our problem is, and the answer is a return to gender traditionalism. Of course, any such dialogue on the topic automatically gets labeled as "hate speech" which is why men are retreating to online forums and using anonymous profiles to speak their minds.
All in all I think this documentary will entice some indoctrinated SJWs to take the red pill. And once they do, I can tell you this from experience, there's no turning back.

If you need permission from a woman before you stand up for yourself as a man, you're not actually standing up for yourself as a man.
But hey, that's what the audience wants. A pretty face summarizing something that a man wrote out in detail two years ago.
Perhaps I should've posted the Armored Skeptics review on this instead, so you could call him (and me, by extension) an "enabler" and "white knight" as per the Roosh article linked in your post?
But seriously...
First off, I don't consider her an authority, or "an important voice everyone has to hear".
I just prefer checking out as many angles as possible (left, right, male, female, mainstream, alternative, batshit-insane, etc.) in order to form my own opinion.
Second, I didn't post the review in the spirit of "ermahgerd, she's on our side! We has allies!"
Just another review amongst others, simple as that.
But hey, thanks for chiming in.

RE: Feminist Filmmaker (ha) Starts Kickstarter For Documentary on MRM
This is not directly related to the thread, but seeing the video of shoe on head reminds me of a fascinating post from Lizard of Oz a while back where he describes her as a monkey.
Quote:Well, she is a MONKEY, which is the least appealing female type. I'll take a pig, a dog, a koala, a seal or a squirrel before I'll take a monkey.
However: a monkey can be acceptable if it's a) a shorty b) has juicy big BOOBS and c) has a tight round BUTT. She satisfies all these conditions, so she's good to go.
EDIT: and yes, she gets it wearing that beanie and the dyed hair wig, both things that, as she realizes, look good and enraging on this kind of monkey faced big boobed shorty. But she needs to be analed so she would stop babbling -- just pull down those jean shorts and hold on to her pneumatic almost fake in a good way boobs.
Quote:kbell, every girl resembles some particular animal facially. You can have pigs, dogs (I love both of those types, long-nosed dogs are the finest cocksuckers), rodent/squirrel types, koala cuteness types, glistening seals, monkeys, and others. Cows are underrated, also good stolid cocksuckers with great placidity in their countenance. Sometimes you can have blends, like you could see some chipmunk and some kitten. This girl is a pure monkey, you just have to look at her face and see her jumping around and understand it.
You're an artist, I believe, so think about it this way -- if you had to draw a caricature of the girl as an animal, which one would you choose? The choice is usually pretty self-evident.
Identifying a girl's animal is one of the best ways to understand her sexual uses, it brings you closer to her essence as a sexual object. It is something that a connoisseur of pussy should do as a matter of course.
Something to note is that the great beauties are often unclassifiable, they don't have an animal and this is part of their irresolvable mystery. A great beauty's face refuses to fully come into focus and that slight mist that seems to surround it can enrage a man in a deeper and different way.
Some day I'll explain it all in greater detail and with pictorial examples and illustrations of each and every type, and all of this will be very clear.
For the past couple of years I've been silently hoping to open RVF and finally read LoOz's full explanation of this. It would make for one of the most fascinating threads on the forum.

I agree, it's really good and my respect for the MRAs has grown as a result. That Warren Farrell protest where that feminist is up in that guy's face calling him "fucking scum" still triggers me to this day. Also, those antifa-looking types at the beginning calling Paul Elam a white supremacist...you just have to roll your eyes. The IMDB rating is really high, so perhaps people really are beginning to see modern feminism / leftism for the nasty stuff that it really is.

This is so shocking I can't even...
...decide which gif to put here.
I watched this and liked it despite being one of the more skeptical members early in this thread, and I think it is cool that she won the award, the irony is classic.
That being said, she may have won it simply because there were so few good films by women this year. (Which is funny in its own way) If you go to the website for this competition, you will see that all of the films she was up against were just shorts:

I don't know anything about DigiFest or Women In Film. Maybe this is a big deal, maybe not. Still funny.

RE: Feminist Filmmaker (ha) Starts Kickstarter For Documentary on MRM
Y'all know how I don't endorse this documentary and still don't.
That aside -- and I can't confess to seeing the segment -- it sounds like Cassie Jaye delivered a headshot to an entire liberal news panel in Australia regarding her documentary and the fact it's all but banned here:
http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/...b811e46ad6
Quote:HE entire Project panel has been left in shocked silence during an uncomfortable interview with a controversial film director.
Cassie Jaye was on the show to discuss her controversial documentary The Red Pill, which explores the men’s rights movement by highlighting suicide rates, sexual assault and custody issues.
It’s received a huge amount of backlash in Australia, with many theatres cancelling screenings.
“We’ve had a lot of success in other countries, so Australia is really the only place we’ve had protests and petitions and banning like this,” Jaye complained on the show.
And it was clear she didn’t understand why.
“I’m curious what is different about Australia that makes this topic so polarising, so fearful to people that they actually want to shut it down and silence it ... I’m not sure why there’s so much resistance in Australia,” she said.
Carrie Bickmore explained that it was largely due to the fact domestic violence is “really on the agenda” here, and pointed to the campaign run by Rosie Batty, whose son Luke was murdered by his own father in 2014.
“And it was his son that passed [away]?” Jaye questioned the hosts.
A confused Aly clarified: “It was her son that was killed by his father.”
“That’s interesting, because it shows that there are male victims of domestic violence,” Jaye replied.
The response left the entire Project panel in a moment of stunned silence, before Aly dived back in.
“Sorry — that’s the lesson you took from that?” he asked incredulously. “The point I think a lot of people take from that is that the violence was perpetrated by the man in that situation — as it overwhelmingly is — particularly in cases where there’s a fatality.”
But Jaye didn’t budge.
“This is a very touchy subject which can quickly offend people, so I’ll use my words wisely,” she told the hosts.
“It’s something I really thought long and hard about while I was making The Red Pill ... we have to distinguish between victims and perpetrators, or criminals, because a boy who is being abused by a parental figure, that is a boy that deserves care and compassion and resources if he needs to find help.”
Jaye also explained why she’s no longer a feminist.
“I left feminism after making this film, because I see feminism as having blinders on — it only focuses on women’s issues, and girls issues.”
Context notes: Rosie Batty is one of Australia's sacred cows. Having been stupid enough to get into a relationship (twice) and then have a kid with a mentally ill, abusive male, she became Australian of the Year essentially for whinging about it and campaigning on domestic violence -- as said, notwithstanding that her partner who killed their son had a mental illness but, like most of the mentally ill in the West, slipped through the cracks and went undiagnosed and untreated. It was mental illness that killed Luke Batty, not domestic violence.
That aside, the fact she left a whole team of leftards speechless demonstrates just how hard a hit to the head she gave them. As said, I don't endorse the documentary, but 10/10 for inducing a sort of seizure in at least four distinct demographics at once.
