This is a very easy idea that somehow never occurred to me or probably a lot of people

I wonder if this can be used as a side hustle while traveling? Still a pretty decent making for doing nothing except waiting. Only downside I see is that you live like a homeless person while waiting in a line.

Ja, this is popular in many parts of the lesser developed world. Was popular at government offices (e.g. Passport Office, Traffic Department) in SA, where queues can be long. As the professional gets near the front of the line he sends Mr Torichtoqueue a message and he races to the place and moves pretty much to the front.

It has always seemed ridiculous to me. For a start, if the queue is so long that something like this is practical you have a pretty bad problem that should be solved through technology, more employees or some other way. Also, it amazed me that I never heard of fights breaking out between the regular people and the people who would be viewed as queue jumpers. I think the various offices have killed this off by either forbidding people to queue for another, or through some other restriction that wouldn't make it economically feasible. Though I haven't been to these kind of places in a couple of years.

I had no idea, this seems to be the westernized version of it though. For example this guy waits in line and also buys the product if you look at the end of the video. I'm guessing he was paid upfront for the service and given money to actually buy the product
