This video is too good not to get it's own thread. Stefan Molyneax has a conversation with a couple that's considering "polyamory" and just brutally murders both their hamsters in a way I've never seen. He just keeps pressing the point and doesn't let either of them rationalize anything away.

One of the better ways (I think) to fight cognitive biases is to frame your decision in the form of a question.

For instance, I have a somewhat shitty older car that gets decent mileage. The question to ask yourself is "If I had no car, would I buy this car today?" and if the answer is 'no', you should sell it immediately.

She kept talking in this vague "future" tense when she "might" meet a man, but at around 45 minutes Stefan eventually cornered her with logic. She begrudgingly admitted to already having sized up another suitable candidate to replace Matt. I think she said she worked with him, but it doesn't matter, as her hypergamy is in overdrive if she really is a 9.

Stefan's comment makes me laugh here. Not the shit-testing failing part, which is true - but his evaluation of their looks.

For one thing, Stefan released some videos on r/K selection - in which he spoke about the importance of "skepticism for physical beauty".

For another thing, he released this rant as part of a call-in show. Rants like this make you wonder whether he thinks "skepticism" means "deep hatred for".





For another thing, he has said multiple times that women's beauty gives them a source of unearned power over men.

Finally, I've done some facebook sleuthing.

Matt isn't a seven; he's a three or four. (His face is fine, but his body language, voice, and lack of muscularity diminishes him. With time and effort, he can make himself into a seven.) Kristina isn't a nine; she's a five, six, or seven. (She's small, not fat, looks okay in a dress, but doesn't smile brightly. On a deeper level, there are very few women in Freedomain Radio. The male/female ratio is around ten to one, perhaps worse. And over half of the women are 30-plus. They're smart for sure, but not very attractive. And you get the sense that they wish they were attractive, so that they could've had more relationships with more men.

I was part of his message board for over a year, and still attend weekly meetings with non-Gamma men who were fans of Stefan for even longer.

Stefan is excellent when discussing peaceful parenting, government, and economics - but is god-awful when discussing therapy, childhood, and especially male-female relationships.
