My experience instead is that muscles haven't helped me much in social circle, i'm still quite rubbish at it. But they have definetely helped me in club game and beach game. You literally have pussy thrown at you in these places if you are very good looking.

I definitely do it for myself. Not only do I like living a healthy lifestyle and looking lean as fuck, as it is very rewarding, but I find it also positively contributes to other aspects of my personality. It makes me a lot more self confident, physically and socially.

Knowing I can take off my shirt and women will be attracted to what they see is just a bonus, not nearly a sole purpose to training.

I guess this really all depends on where you live.

In cities like L.A. and Miami, chicks aren't throwing themselves at guys just because they have muscles when so many guys in those markets already have them -- most of you guys are clearly gym newbs, so your physiques aren't fuckin' with guys who've already been in the gym, 3, 5, 10+ years, you're likely putting extras on your physiques because you're still comparing yourselves to out-of-shape scrubs.

In situations like those, going to the gym is really just a means to try to keep your head above water, if you're doing it solely from a physical attraction standpoint, but please let's not act like that in today's dating market, you're the only guy who steps into a club who happens to work out -- clubs are inherently arenas for people to show off their sexual market value, money, and personalities.

I'm not that new, i started more than 2 years and a half ago. I don't know miami and los angeles, never been in the u.s., i've done club/night game mostly in malta and london and looks and muscles definitely helped me.

Jariel has it. In warm weather climates, muscles really don't help that much. You'll need to leverage many other things, however I found it easier to meet and talk to all types of women in warm city climates. Friends are easier to make and people socialize a lot more.

Whereas in cold climates, you need muscles to achieve that same level of interest warm weather climate women have. I find being a bigger guy than most of the cold weather schlubs gives me an edge.

Still lift for myself though. The feels I get lifting help quell my anger. I'd go postal if it wasn't for the gym.

I've only recently started going to the gym the last couple of weeks because I've realised how much my fitness is lacking after 5 years with no exercise (the first two of those due to oneitis).

I'm still young, but unfortunately I was not blessed with the "good looking" gene, and neither am I tall (5ft 9in) so genetics are completely against me.

Therefore, if I'm to have any success with women, it's going to need to come from self-improvement, both of my fitness and physique. I miss the days where I could just run laps round everyone on the team, or outpace my friends in a 100m sprint.

So, for me, I go to the gym for self-improvement and a (hopeful) by-product of that is a improvement in attracting girls.

Physical and mental health are the first objective in the gym for me. Girls is a bonus but that will only come if I get to take my clothes off with them.

I work out now to avoid heart disease and live well. When I started working out 15 years ago it was for vanity, strength and physical advantage in combat (or to avoid combat altogether because people do not fuck with muscular, black, 6'4, 250 Lb men). I can certainly relate on the driving. I can't believe how much worse the standard of driving has got in the decade or so I've been on the road. To everyone else, I think it is highly unlikely you will get zero attention from girls like Rikardo unless you have other factors that are way off.

My competitive nature gets a huge kick, when I can demolish younger guys in the gym. Which to be honest, is not hard these days.

I heard more comments from girls when I was out of shape, which must mean I am in shape now. Girls don't want to compliment me because they think I may get a big head.

Frankly, the better your physique is the more you can get away with in life.
