I had drill yesterday and was impressed by the ideas my coworkers shared on the culture war.

It was an typical day of completing tasks that I've become accustomed to the tempo of, so when it came time for lunch I decided to take a nap. One man brought up the fact that the government would try to throw us in the middle of whatever unrest occurs when things get bad, as another man said you don't have to obey unlawful orders. It looks like the sentiment of oathkeepers type beliefs have proliferating more than expected, which is relieving. It moved on to civil war and governmental collapse surprisingly quickly. A half white, half Mexican NCO who's been in the unit for some time brought up his young life in Dearborn Michigan. His most troubling statement was that Dearborn is no different than the sharia zone neighborhoods in the UK. He said, "I'd hate to ever get into even a disagreement with one of them, but if a fight happens for any reason, you're not fighting one of them, you're fighting all of them". "You go around parts of Michigan and I swear to God it looks trashed and dirty just like being in Iraq". One of the men who is also a cop said that in the scenario of a military invasion, it's mandated that prisoners are released on humanitarian grounds. You can't leave them locked up in the possibility that the feeding and environmental apparatus that cares for them may cave in. Another guy quickly replied that we'd end up having to fight them too, becoming involved in a war between convicts, Latino separatist, possibly foreign armies, federal loyalists, anarchist groups, black separatists groups and Islamic radicals.

One guy mentioned that the feminization of western men is one of the root causes in how things got this bad to which I had to reply with an enthusiastic "yes, you get it!". All the men participating were angry, but doubted any organized pushback rising up to stop what's happening, especially in Europe. I'd say this is a quick survey of one quarter of the men in the unit. About half of them have brought up the topic at times before but share an general apathy, or guarded indifference for what's at hand. About a quarter of the remaining men have no interest in political or macro-social conflicts, most of these guys are the least senior soldiers, so it's hard to gauge their feelings or allegiances on any of this. Roughly half of the men have ideas about military service that coincide with what oathkeepers espouse, but the staunchness of their beliefs aren't fully clear.

Edited segment: Oh yea, even the Finnish girl who beheaded her mom was mentioned and they said she watched 10 hours straight of beheading videos before doing it. I didn't know that was the supposed cause; watching hours on end makes you insane huh? Everyone was shaking their heads and gritting their teeth after it was mentioned.

There has been a great lack of news coming out of Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Andorra, Malta, and the French and Spanish islands.

What about the southeastern European states? It seems the migrant path coming from Greece flows through Bulgaria, but there's little popular new proliferating on this. Yugoslavia, Montenegro and Bosnia/Herzegovina have all gotten mentions, but few updates though being primary route nations for the influx.

No way will Switzerland let those hordes through. They have real borders and they would be shot if they tried to pull it off.

However Switzerland is becoming more "diverse" nonetheless, but it's along the lines of legal immigration. I lived in Switzerland for 2 years some 15 years ago and whenever I am visiting now I see it becoming more colored, but the degree is not overly dramatic so far.

Also - yes the Swiss have a more direct democracy and they can in fact close off borders by direct petitions. They don't even like Austrians or Germans entering let alone masses of Muslims.

So Switzerland will more or less remain Swiss with at best very long long range changes possible.
