This is so true. The constant feeling of being bullshitted in the media, be it news or entertainment. I listen to friends talk and I feel like we don't even live in the same world anymore. Not to be arrogant, but they seem to be as shallow as it gets. The entertainment industry does seem to play a huge role in this. Even when I don't have to study for weeks and don't feel like reading, I cannot watch TV anymore as the whole program is just shallow, senseless bullshit.
And now with the refugee-crisis, when I first heard about the 800.000, I started to get that same feeling, you, HSLD, debeguiled and lots of others seem to feel. Something big is about to happen but you can't quite put a finger on it. 4chan says, the racewars are coming, which is likely. But it could be something else entirely. All of this just reminds me of several novels. The hardcore leftist developments remind me of Atlas Shrugged. The refugee crisis is like Camp of the Saints. Being tracked with your smartphones and computers and public cameras everywhere reminds of 1984. The direction in which society was headed before the current crisis reminded me of the society described in The Time Machine by H. G. Wells where everyone can eat and play but they can't self-sustain and are naive like little children and are taken care of by the underground-monsters who catch some from time to time to eat them.

You can feel it, can't you? What was a trickle of oddness in 2008 turned into an obvious wave in 2012, and now, this year, is flooding everything. The narrative is collapsing and the community bonds that strengthen society enough to keep it functioning are breaking down.

Even average, non-political people in my circle are noticing. Stranger still, they're talking about it publicly.

The rush to normalise transsexuality - even South Park was strangely respectful of it - seems to be worrying those with children. A woman sitting nearby in the pub the other night jumped in when our group started talking about Bruce Jenner: "They're trying to take our children away from us." I wonder what she'll think about the Scholastic 8 Year Old Trannie Book.

The women took control of the conversation and any kind of PC pretence that you'd see on, say, Facebook, was completely gone. It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life, as they were all questioning the narrative, so I just dropped back and observed, trying to take it all in, wanting to hear what average people thought.

The common thread: something is very wrong.

One girl said she cried a few months ago watching television: "I'm not religious but I prayed to heaven, you know? I said out loud: I just want to know what the truth is. Can you please show me the truth?" She said she will look at a magazine at the hairdressers and see how pointless the stories are, and is uncomfortable - like me, like my sister - watching any kind of movie or television show feels like someone is trying to sell you things that aren't important, and are sending you messages on how to be bad person.

"Evil messages."

Very interesting observation.

You are based in Australia right?

Did those girls go more into detail what those messages on how to be a bad person were?

Where is that traitorous bitch Merkel? I haven't heard anything from her in a while.

She invites an unlimited number of migrants to Europe and tries to bully EU member states into taking them in, then abruptly suspends the Schengen Agreement and slams the door.

Merkel confirmed as dopiest cunt ever to live? Or does she have a devious plan in the works?

Germany has ordered all trains from Austria be stopped to stem flow of migrants. This is a huge step:

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/14/world/...v=top-news

Quote:"BERLIN — With record numbers of migrants pouring across the Hungarian border and rushing west, Germany, the country that had been the most welcoming in Europe, suddenly ordered temporary border restrictions on Sunday that cut off rail travel from Austria and instituted spot checks on cars.

It took the action just one day before European ministers were scheduled to meet in Brussels to discuss a plan to disperse tens of thousands of refugees across Europe, with many governments, particularly in Eastern Europe, bristling at being forced to accept more migrants than they wish to take.

The crisis is the latest, and perhaps thorniest, test of Europe’s willingness to work together to solve big problems amid rising populist, nationalist and Euro-skeptic movements across the continent...

“I would really like to go to Germany,” Mr. Sherzad said. “But if they don’t let me go, I will consider other options, like staying in Austria or trying to go to another country. I won’t stop.”

I think we are evolving as we speak to just accept that we are becoming like one gigantic network of brains.

And right now we are completely red-lining our minds before we can really catch up.

Humans will adapt to the environment they are thrown in and survival always comes out on top, sometimes in ugly ways with growing pains. I think this is the growing pain period before going through the other side of what is the technology version of the industrial revolution that I think will change society in every facet on a much grander scale.

I think everyone has this pent up anxiety at starting to understand that technology is starting to gain its own legs and will be going at a much faster pace than almost all of us can keep up with and are at least going a little mad subconsciously even if consciously we are very optimistic about the direction the world is going in.

It is a race of creating super abundance in living materials against a crushing amount of uneducated poor multiplying faster than the developed world can keep up.

I am optimistic that we will see the world population level off everywhere and things will be cheap enough for all to easily have 2-3 kids each to sustain the world population. It is going to be very intense over the next two decades getting there though.

This was in Sydney, of all places. Was there visiting a family member after serious surgery. Hopped a flight back to my old town this morning for dental work, and am trying to figure out what to do with myself. My plans to return to Hamburg are, obviously, on hold: where is there left on the planet that is free from Anti-Human Leftist Bullshit?

Anyway, from what the women said, it was chasing after things that aren't important: fame, money, things. They didn't like the message of self-obsession and trying to destroy connections of love and family.

I think that's the link: all of these women have families.

One girl said "I want to grow and become a better person. There is something deeper, something more." She describing a need for spirituality, something studies suggest a lot of her generation no longer consider important at all.

Ah, that's another thing that was said: "They want all women to act like the mean bitches from high school, and think that's a good thing."

We're living in interesting times.

The country of FYROM (Macedonian Republic) also looks to be about to build an "anti-migrant" barrier, made of a fence combined with soldiers...

Note that, in just one day, the FYROM (a tiny country) gets... 7600 illegal migrants coming in!!Confused

http://greece.greekreporter.com/2015/09/...th-greece/

"FYROM could soon be erecting a fence at its southern border with Greece to curb rising immigration to the country.

FYROM Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki told Hungarian weekly Figyelo that his country is considering the “physical defense” option for the border, which could include a fence, soldiers or both.

The country has become a stepping stone for thousands of migrants and refugees seeking to reach Hungary, a Schengen Area signee. Reuters cited a United Nations refugee official who claimed that between 6 pm Wednesday and 6 pm on Thursday 7,600 migrants and refugees entered FYROM from Greece.
"

Meanwhile, the Honorary Consul of France in Bodrum (a Turkish female citizenDodgy) is selling cheap inflatable boats to wealthy illegal Afghan migrants posing as poor Syrian refugees Huh ... Crazy times indeed: you can't even understand who actually is, or pretend to be, French, Turk, Syrian or Afghan, who's the diplomat, who's the migrant, who's the merchant, who swindles whom... When Monthy Python enters the Twilight Zone, a movie produced by Frau Merkel and Herr Juncker...

@Requiem: Fuck, average people becoming really pissed off. The first dude was so emotional he couldn't even speak with a firm voice.

About Merkel: She has no strategy, just superior tactics. That's her way of politics. She has never had any big vision for Germany (at least not publicly and she is still in power because she does nothing really).
She exited from the exit of the German nuclear-power-exit. (yes, you read correctly)
So I am not surprised by her "random" course change for the moment.

She might open borders again in a few days or weeks, it's just games.

What makes me angry, is the bunch of idiots who vote for her party and all other traitor parties in parliament. 50% of the population is below median intelligence (aka dumb), but that is no excuse.

It gets weirder:

http://greece.greekreporter.com/2015/09/...rotection/

Quote:“Greece must take responsibility for the protection of the EU’s external borders, which are currently not secure,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel said calling for an urgent intensification of dialogues between Greece and Turkey.

“All European Union member states ought to participate in the reception of refugees. This is not only Germany’s responsibility. Τhe protection of the external borders of the EU, as well as the protection of the region area between Greece and Turkey also belong to this special mission. Because today, this area is not secure,” said Merkel during a meeting of her party’s committee. She reiterated that only migrants in need of protection after fleeing their countries due to war, or political persecution can stay in Germany.

“Those who do not need protection but they are coming to Germany mainly for economic reasons cannot stay with us,” the German Chancellor mentioned.

Angela Merkel also defended the policy she carries out during the refugee crisis, implicitly rejecting the criticism of the members of Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU) who accuse her of applying a naive and dangerous strategy. “Germany did the right thing and it took responsibility,” she said.

So let me get this straight, you create a massive incentive by basically saying anyone can come, the EU's asylum policy is so insane that every motherfucker that jumps the fence has to have their "asylum" claims processed, and now you're telling the Greeks they have to defend their borders - but how? Are you going to start sending the boats back?

Is everyone fucking insane but the men on this forum?

As always, history repeats itself. The perception of the world we live in, the mindset, the uneasy feeling that something is wrong, that something is about to happen, as in the posts quoted above, is nothing new.
There has been a generation that felt the same, and it´s not the distant past this time, but one that is still very apparent:

Fin de siècle

Quote:The term typically encompasses both the meaning of the similar English idiom turn of the century and also the closing and onset of an era. The end of the 19th century was felt to be a period of degeneration, but at the same time a period of hope for a new beginning. The "spirit" of fin de siècle often refers to the cultural hallmarks that were recognized as prominent in the 1880s and 1890s, including ennui, cynicism, pessimism, and "...a widespread belief that civilization leads to decadence."

The themes of fin de siècle political culture were very controversial and have been cited as a major influence on fascism. The major political theme of the era was that of revolt against materialism, rationalism, positivism, bourgeois society, and liberal democracy. The fin-de-siècle generation supported emotionalism, irrationalism, subjectivism, and vitalism, while the mindset of the age saw civilization as being in a crisis that required a massive and total solution.

The psychosphere in pre-WWI Europe had many similarities to today´s, the Belle Époque or the Gilded Age were coming to an end, and people sensed and anticipated that great turmoil and change was destined to occur, that something was terribly wrong. Much of European art of the time, be it literature, poetry, paintings, music as well as philosophy reflects that attitude. It is for example not a coincidence that the quoted poem by W.B. Yeats fits the current situation so well. This time, the end of the 19th and the beginning of a new century, were the fertile soil in which the great evils of the 20th century rooted. At that time unprecedented economic growth, huge leaps in scientific knowledge, new technologies, urbanization, new and revolutionary social and political ideas as well as a degree of globalization our world only recently achieved again, left people no time to catch a breath. We all know only too well how it ended, even though they were almost waiting for it, desperately longing for it, they didn´t see the doom coming until it was too late, and the tension was finally released by the horrors of war, tyranny and injustice.
That was when the Old World died, and nothing has ever been the same since then. Or at least we prefer to believe that.

Actually, I provided (one day in advance, here: https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-50253...pid1109165 ) an explanation for the sudden turnabout of Merkel's Germany. I mean, first Germany says it will take every refugee of the Middle-East, then changes its mind and shuts its borderHuh... Reason: well, it fulfills the globalists' "Eastern Front Strategy- part 1" : flood Eastern Europe with illegal Afghan-Syrian migrants.

German strategy having thus been clarified: They create the incentive for hundreds of thousands of "migrants" to get on the road and go to Europe (heading to Germany), then suddenly they shut close the door to Germany, while most of these migrants are still on EE territory! Part 1 of the two-pronged strategy accomplished : EE is flooded, illegal migrants are caught between the German border and the Serbia-Hungary border, so they will have to stay and settle in EE! Brilliant move by Merkel, to screw and impose the migrants on them!

...
One other thing, of interest:

Today, the former (socialist) Interior Minister (Secretary of State) of France, Pierre Joxe, a SJW lawyer, made headlines by saying:

"Les accords de Schengen, j’étais contre. Je l’ai dit à François Mitterrand qui m’a envoyé sur les roses. Je lui ai dit : « Avec Schengen, on met la frontière de la France au Pirée, le port d’Athènes. » Historiquement, cela a été une folie et un aveuglement collectif. Une erreur terrible a été commise."

which means, and remember it is a leftist who says it!!, "Schengen agreement, I was against. I told then president Miterrand so. Told him: 'With Schengen, we put France's border to Athens' seaport'... So historically, Schengen has been a foolish, crazy thing and a collective blinding-lapse of judgement. A terrible mistake has been committed."

Wow Exclamation Even leftist SJWs start panicking, calling Schengen, the foundation of the current EU, "a crazy foolish thing and a collective blinding. A terrible mistake committed".

http://www.la-croix.com/Actualite/France...11-1354936

So, what other posters said here on this thread is true. Everybody, including the globalists-leftists, feel that huge mistakes have been made and something terrible is coming our way...

I have felt this "acceleration" that Annonymous Bosch and HSLD spoke of as well.

It is rather surreal how quickly this has all happened- in a way the last time the world was "normal" was before 9/11. Everything since then has kind of been this insane geopolitical, economic and moral roller coaster ride- though I was unaware at the time since I was growing up while it all happened. It didn't strike me as weird really; it was the only world I knew.

Those of you present at Roosh's NYC lecture may recall he raised a question about gay marriage: "Didn't it seem like the whole gay marriage thing was just a little too well marketed?"

It was. It's not an organic social movement. It's an agenda that probably had a degree of grass-roots support, but was certainly being pushed from the top downward by power-elites.

The forced multiculturalism in Europe is just the latest and display of power exercised in this manner. What's surprising is how rapidly and in what a vulgar manner it is being done. Why they want to do it is what is confusing. Is it a conspiracy to destroy Europe's cultures (to what end)? Or are they just importing voters like Labor party in the UK?

In either case- I think this "acceleration" that has been mentioned is because of the internet. The rapid diffusion of information, decentralization of media and free exchange of ideas scares the political, media and financial elites pulling the strings. They know people are wising up to them and they feel like they are running out of time.

Or it could be they just truly are so incompetent and stupid that things as they unfold in the world are unintentional. Maybe we're all getting ourselves psyched up over nothing. Maybe it's both. Who knows.

The man on the 10 dollar bill said it best: "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty."

That is our role in this.

Stay vigilant.

Ha! I originally dredged up the Fin and Mal De Siecle in my post, before removing them, thinking my thoughts on them were tiptoeing too far towards Berenstain Bears conspiracy theory. It's reassuring to see I'm not alone.

My observations on this from July last year, where I was already noting the acceleration.

I still think Nordau was on the right track with 'Degeneration' as an early forerunner of analysing what has been normalised as Leftist Thought, but didn't quite get there. Freud believed the work held no valid psychological value - it's too far from his own beliefs of the workings of the mind - but, even as a largely-forgotten work, ideas in it seem to function as fitting descriptive and predictive tools.

If you note the reference to 9/11 in my post: I wonder if modern society is craving the violent apocalypse it was promised all through the back half of the 20th century, and 9/11 seemed to suggest might be starting to happen.

Note the enormous current cultural popularity of Zombie Apocalypse Fiction: where a small tribe bands together against the threat of people who look you are, but are violently-opposed to you. If you'd told me watching my low quality dub of 'Dawn Of The Dead' on video in the 80's - a favourite of mine, since hell to me was always the violent stupidity of the mindless mob - that this fantasy would be breaking record viewing numbers on television in the early 21st century, I wouldn't have believed you.

Hell, what is Game of Thrones but Familial Tribes out to destroy one another whilst the threat of an apocalyptic battle between two opposing outside forces hangs over everything?

You have had the worlds greatest super power throwing its weight around with significant mass since 9/11. 14 years of a war-like state encompassing many violent areas of the globe alongside its allies.

The reaction will come.

Because, what if the sudden acceleration and dramatization of events (in these last weeks at least), is linked to the meteoric, unexpected rise of Trump in the polls!?

Powerful global puppeteers may be panicking at the thought of the most powerful country, the marshal of the World, the USA, falling into the (strong and capable) hands of a man who is not one of them, a man who would kick asses, restore sanity and order, where they (the globalists) favor Social-Justice castrating agenda and blurred lines...?
