So true, there are so many hot Spanish girls from Spain walking around the CBD area, I inquire why they were there, they explain to me there are alot of Spanish firms there working with Chinese companies. Most Spanish girls speak English. There are even some Colombians, but I don't know why they are there. Beijing is a very cosmo city.

There are alot of Russians.

The CBD nightlife was lame during the summer, when I was there, summer for the bars in the CBD is slow. I heard it picks up during the winter.

So my report was a dud.

I heard the Kerry Hotel Bar in the CBD area is good during the winter, and was the place to be for high rollers, business people. I would not know because I wasn't there during the winter, which is now.

Beijing nightlife is good during the winter? First time I hear this.
I would assume the Spanish are there as their economy is in deep trouble. Many of them also work for large European firms like Renault.

Someone mentioned in the other threads that foreigners are easy picking, it would be interesting to find out if this applies to the Spanish and Colombian sets as well.

Unless there has been a major overhaul of Centro, the Kerry Hotel bar is just your standard 5 star hotel lounge. From your report it seems that the CBD nightlife hasn't picked up at all, I think it's more of a general decline than a seasonal issue. Did you make it to xiu?
Even in Beijing I find Spanish girls to be arrogant, unpleasant and cliquey. The German, Scandinavian and French girls in Beijing are much better fun imo.
