RE: Gunman 'injures three after firing Kalashnikov' on Amsterdam-Paris train
I am very skeptical about this scenario. For me, there are some elements which do not add up and come across as clichee-like. Especially the fact that the attacker was already known by at least two secret services.

According to CNN, the Spanish secret service informed the French colleagues about his radical nature. Yet, inspite of all this, this guy managed to get hold of a Kalashnikov with 200 rounds of ammunition. Also, he wasn't carrying a knife or a combat knife, but a... box-cutter. Well, one can stretch reality only so far to evoke associations of a 9-11 scenario.

Long story cut short: This attacker was planted. You do not have to agree with me here. But when there are many people celebrating American soldiers in times when their reputation is at a serious low because of what American government has done, then, well, then it is time to take into consideration that this whole thing could be a propaganda ploy.

Sure.

Pretty much every Islamic trouble maker in the UK has been "known to the security services" too.

The problem is there are too many of them and they can't all be followed around 24/7.

A black guy, a Bayern Munich fan and a grandpa. Well done guys.
And of course the 4th one, Spencer that tackeld the terrorist.

Cases like this let me question always those more surveillance talk, they have them mostly all but then its not official agents, its citizens or in this case some soldiers. Like an other case in Germany it was a female cashier at a construction market that made the call for a guy that want to build a bomb.

Its kind of strange, seems like those daily heroes do more against terrorism then the government and its agents.

We will stand tall in the sunshine

And if we have to go alone

For us, these conflicts can be resolved by appeal to the deeply ingrained higher principle embodied in the law, that individuals have the right (within defined limits) to choose how to live. But this Western notion of individualism and tolerance is by no means a conception in all cultures. - Theodore Dalrymple

I want you to realise this kind of lone wolf terrorism cannot be stopped by the government.

Not even the most tyrannical government in history managed to prevent terrorist acts on itself or the population.

Only luck and the right people in the right place at the right time stops these guys for the most part.

It is sad they did not kill this vermin. Like "during the fight we accidentally break his neck and shot his head of with a full magazine from the Kalashnikov."

He gets what, 20 years max? And then they let him go? I would deport his ass back to some shit hole in the middle -east.

That'd be a terrible idea, he'd get snapped up by ISIS, given an even better Kalashnikov and four sex slaves for his 'bravery against the infidel'. I would 'deport' him somewhere more appropriate:

There was no intelligence failure: http://20committee.com/2015/01/10/there-...-in-paris/

Quote:As a seasoned counterterrorism magistrate complained, French intelligence and police were finding themselves “disarmed” in the face of this new threat, while the lack of legal “teeth” meant that there was not much that the secret services could actually do about the many potential terrorists in the country. Likely trouble-makers could be arrested upon returning from jihad abroad, but they could not be kept in custody for long, and many were being released angrier than they were before, creating an explosive situation.
That, exactly, is the rub. France’s intelligence apparatus is good at what they do

That's why you have rule of law, so you don't become as bad as the terrorists.

There's lot's of Muslims in the USA, they know they've got it good, no one gives them significant shit.

They have something to lose. Someone without anything to lose is much more dangerous.

The social control method you need is when a Muslim doctor father here starts to hear his 10 year old son talk about radical bullshit, he probably tells the kid to shut the fuck up, that he's lucky to be living in the USA. Plus the kid has Jewish, Catholic friends at school. He's not easy to indoctrinate with hate.

THAT'S what you need-- early socialization in liberal tolerance lolzz. I'm sure that idea will go over great.

That doesn't mean you have to let poorly socialized African Muslims into your country. But we've been getting along pretty well relatively here. You can claim doom will happen later, there's nothing new or creative about that, people have been saying "The end is near" forever, but right now tolerance is working here in USA.
That's the physical reality on the ground here.

Of course.
But then why the government tell us all the time it need the surveillance of citizens to protect us from terrorism?
Some of those terrorist, in this case too, are know by the authorities. Still they can not be watched all the time. So why do they collect the data in first?
And why they also want more data about my daily life when they often already have fanatics on the spot and do nothing?
Because the more surveillance to protect us against terrorism is nonsense. The government just don't trust the citizens and want to watch them.

Yeah the 'surveilance is to protect you from terrorism' line is a low effort, barefaced lie. It's already well known that the surveillance is almost 100% used to prosecute domestic crimes. It's on par with a child saying 'I didn't eat the chocolate' when it has it all over its face.

Yes. Which is a good argument for anti-immigration parties. Because being smart on immigration would be the only defense.

Its like the new US policy where all citizens have to disclose foreign bank accounts and their annual values. Is this for "terrorism" or for tax collection?

The French are confused as to why they are getting a dinner with Franois Hollande. Surely these men should be rewarded and not punished.

There's probably intel of some kind to get. Maybe where he met up with the assholes who gave him the guns.

I think this guy was really a stupid pawn. I mean really stupid, technically with Borderline Cognitive Functioning or near it. Weapons experts are saying he might not even have had a magazine in the pistol.

They terrorist now claim he is not a terrorist. He found the guns at a kids playground and just want to rob the train because he was hungry.

Also it's bullshit how I kept getting distracted while reading this story because of the big fucking picture in the sidebar talking about some gay tranny sitcom in England "transforming TV." Is there an AdBlocker for queer shit?
