We had 3 main sororities.

Once again the "tolerance" crowd shows they're the least tolerant people on the planet. And the anti-bullying crowd shows they're the biggest bullies around.

As for diversity...when you try to enforce it on a specific group that's a violation of spirit of freedom of assembly/freedom of association, in my opinion.

If a bunch of diverse people come together for a common purpose -- like on the forum -- great. But no group should be made to feel guilty that doesn't fit some per-determined Disney/Benetton corporate HR concept of what diversity should be.

Should the university take this to its logical conclusion and enforce a certain number of "diverse" friendships and/or relationships on each student? Don't laugh; someday that may happen. It's where we're headed.

PS: I was never in a frat, so I have no skin in this game. However, neither in college nor afterwards did I ever make it my business to be a busybody and try and tell everyone else how they should live their lives. "Live and let live" is a concept that is apparently foreign to feminists, SJWs, and a lot of millennials.

Personally, I wouldn't ever want my daughter to join a sorority. They are thoroughly corrupting experience. Most girls feel the pressure to be just as slutty as the rest of em, not to mention the skin-destroying tans, binge drinking, and money wasting activities. Although the appearance of Alpha Phi may look like the hottest girls on campus, the reality is it consuming the hottest girls on campus by corrupting them and making them more unfit to be mothers and wives in the future.

It depends on the sorority. My fraternity was partnered with two (one for parties, thoroughly corrupting as you described) and another for philanthropy and non-alcoholic social events. Sororities and fraternities are cliques in themselves, which serves a useful purpose by allowing students to find the best fit for their personality, desired social life, and appearance (unsurprisingly, this does play a role).

Some are deliberately slutty, some are deliberately chaste. Many opt out of the party scene entirely. There was even a fat girl sorority we fittingly named "I Eta Pie" in Greek letters. Especially at larger campuses, there's something for everyone. In general, I can agree that they're a negative influence but there are plenty of exceptions to the rule.

I went to an SEC school and yeah these sorority girls are hot and feminine, for sure, but just so damn simple and American to the point where I don't even want to hear them talk.

The hottest ones always date the guy with the biggest truck and thickest country accent. There's absolutely zero edginess or depth to 99% of these "belles".

P&D though? Yeah why not. Buy her a few natty lights and take her tailgating and you'll get the bang. Just be sure to wear your costa del mar glasses, polo shirt, short khaki shorts, and drive your chevy.

I went to a southern university. The more elite the sorority, the more seriously the members take their membership, and the rules of conduct are more stringent.(they'll boot your ass out if you're caught fucking someone who isn't up to par.) I didn't see much evidence of fake tanning, and I also didn't see a single tattoo in that video.

BTW, the token burgeoning fatty was at the 4 minute mark, wearing blue, and eating ice cream.

You've got a point with the drinking but I would argue that the people shaming these girls into taking the video down will make FAR less fit mothers and wives.

Even though every sorority has it's whores, my experience was that the sorority girls were less likely to be as slutty as the non-Greek population. They were actively encouraged to have long-term boyfriends and search for husbands in college. And, as a whole, greek members are more conservative and (according to one study) are more immune to the liberal campus environment.

This is one of the dumbest "outrage on a viral video" rants I've seen in a while. There is literally nothing wrong with the video. There's no underage drinking, there are no drugs, not even swearing. It's just a video of girls having fun on campus/sorority. Calling the video out for having no black girls or fat women, would be like calling the NBA out for not enough fat white guys. Give me a break.

If you saw hotties like that in a video coming from eastern europe you wouldn't even think twice and noone would be calling them out because plenty of girls are smokin there. It's also not unusual for women to display their femininity.

There's nothing even overtly sexual in that video except perhaps a bit of unintentional phallic imagery going on with the elephant mascot's nose wiggling around as the girls were bouncing up and down on that field.

It really says a lot that merely showcasing sexy women in a harmless college organization in the U.S. gets butthurt jealousy and vocal outcry. I whole heartedly agree. As much as I love living in the south these chicks are window dressing for the most part. Super hot window dressing but they are robots that model their lives after their favorite country song for the most part. I still love them and you could put me out in a lawnchair and sunglasses just to watch them walk by on any football saturday.

However, their much more wife material counterparts also exist all over the south. These are the girls that look like these hot bitches in the video (except also with redheads in appalachia for you firecrotch chasers). The wife material ones only have a high school or community college education and tend to have much more wisdom and homemaker ability vs. social climbing debutante attitude. The high class girls like the sorority hotties hate these 'white trash' girls and vice versa. The 'country' southern 9 is the one with the thick southern accent, 7 brothers and sisters, that earned how to cook sweet potato pie from her Mamaw (grandma), has never left the state (ie, gets wide eyed when you tell her about chicago), works a boring job and would look her best cooking biscuits in the kitchen on a saturday morning with nothing but a pair of daisy dukes and an apron on.
