Women suffer greater psychological effects from commute than men
Funny most modern feminists will deny biological differences between men and women to the high heavens. Yet I was made aware of this study by a female friend. Much like the "sexist air conditioning", now commuting to work is sexist because women get much more stressed during the same commute than men do.

Quote:"A study out of the U.K. titled “It’s driving her mad” found that women feel the psychological impact of commuting four times as strongly as men. Even controlling for other factors like income, job satisfaction and housing quality, the findings held steady. Commuting, for women, gets added to an already heavy workload that often includes child care and the majority of day-to-day household tasks, the researchers explained.

Sure, men still leave earlier in the morning, work later into the evening and have longer trip times. And, as McGuckin points out, part of the stress women feel may be because they take on the burden of making sure everything runs according to plan. But regardless, commuting is shaping — and limiting — workforce diversity (yes, we’re talking to you, companies that don’t allow work-from-home flexibility).

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/comm...Y.facebook

Next week scientists will unveil a study saying that women are five times more likely than men to take innocent comments personally and get offended for no good reason.

Of course women are stressed more while commuting. Do you know how hard it is to update instagram while driving?

Or the fear the Starbucks line will be to long once she gets close to work, with the fear she might have to drink Dunkin Donuts coffee instead.

Simply put, in biological terms, females do not have the capability to deal with the stresses associated with ongoing, full-time paid work. It's like giving children the responsibilities of adults.

Of course women get stressed out from commuting. They drive like this:

It takes a lot of work not to crash when driving like that to work.

Compare that to:

RE: Women suffer greater psychological effects from commute than men
Paradoxically (and hilariously) all these obviously agenda-driven studies are just as likely to have the opposite effect on what the authors intend - to create a more "diverse" workforce (i.e. one which is at least 50% female at the top). These people should think about it for a second. If men control the majority of businesses in North America and have a disproportionate influence on who gets hired, are they going to favour hiring more women because they:

a) Can't take the commute without mental health issues and therefore need to work at home;

b) Are going to bitch to the high heavens about where you keep the temperature settings;

c) Will drone endlessly on about the "pay gap" all while demanding time off for maternity, menstruation days and stress; and

d) Are more likely to sue the company or complain to the human rights commission about 'sexual harassment' in the workplace just like Ellen Pao.

Or, will they quietly avoid hiring or become more reluctant to hire women?

Way to create perverse incentives social "scientists" !

Just a human enjoying his "Apex-Predator Privilege" atop the food chain.

If anime has taught me anything, it's stressful because once a woman gets on a train to go to work they're boxed in by a bunch of japanese men who then proceed to molest her into a comically gushing squirting orgasm.

'Strong and independent' but can't handle a commute? What happened, ladies?

Seriously though, if you live in the American suburbs, chances are you're driving extreme distances to work every day. I'm seeing more and more road rage and intensity in the early morning as well as the afternoon peak hours. I bet people are just fucking tired of getting up at 6 just so they can beat the traffic and get to work on time. Then coming home to shrieking kids and a nagging wife. Or if it's the wife, coming home to a beta bitch husband who's too exhausted to even fuck her properly. Rinse and repeat. I wager a good portion of the population lives like this. Day in and day out.

This is the future you chose....

RE: Women suffer greater psychological effects from commute than men
I've always either been too poor to have a car or have lived in a city and haven't needed one (like I do now). I'd take the bus or train and sure, it would be a longer commute, but I'd bring some books and read the whole way. Maybe it would be packed, loud some times, but not so bad -- sit down, read a book and I'm there before I know it. It seems people who drive to work despise it with a passion. Many friends of mine have this disdain for driving I can't understand because I've never had to commute in a car, just took a bus or train and read while on it nice and relaxed. Seems like a terrible extra stresser and when I'm driving in a car with a friend I'm sometimes baffled how worked up they can get over minor traffic inconveniences.

I'm definitely never looking to live any kind of life that requires a substantial car commute back and forth to work everyday. Sounds terrible.

RE: Women suffer greater psychological effects from commute than men
I've had plenty of women throw road rage at me before. In general, women aren't as capable of handling stress as men are.

It sucks we have to live through this awful social experiment, fellas. The women hate it yet lie to themselves that they want it. However career whores have few if any children, and the girls who grow up from more traditional mothers are going to be highly skeptical of turning themselves into stressed-out work slaves. On a long enough timeline, the problem should correct itself.

A friend of mine took a management job at a biotech firm and within weeks was accosted by some beta douche "I demand to be able to work from home." He was sent home - for good.

That was almost ten years ago. With "studies" like the one cited, it won't be long before work from home is considered a right, kind of like paternity leave is becoming.

Paternity leave..... fuck.... I can't even say that phrase without puking in my mouth just a little bit.

They made a study saying women aren't responsible drivers?

Riding in a car with a woman driving has the psychological effects. That shit is scary. Have to hold on for life and be prepared to bail with that dance with death. That's why men have been driving since the beginning of cars.

They could change this title and study to anything. Women suffer greater psychological effects from ____________ than men. Take your pick.

RE: Women suffer greater psychological effects from commute than men
"Women suffer greater psychological harm from burning toast than men, a new study has confirmed.

While men may simply throw out the burnt toast, scrape off the burnt bits, or even eat it burnt, women may suffer psychological trauma that can last hours, even days, after burning a piece of toast.

Dr. Shrivergaard Stippman says that in the recent study, women were "More likely to cry, become depressed, report feelings of inadequacy, and eat sweets to compensate for this negative emotional state. This effect surprisingly could last days after the piece of toast had been burnt."

The study highlights the need for manufactures of toasters - nearly all male - to change what many activists are calling "sexist toaster design" to account for the trauma their products are causing to women. Activists are calling on toaster makers to produce toasters which never get hot enough to burn anything, and turn off on their own when the toast is just right."

Geez some of the comments here are a bit absurd, driving with a woman isn't anything like playing Russian Roulette. My first two high school girlfriends drove me around everywhere before I had access to a car. Never feared for my life.

***With that being said***, I have almost never had a man road rage on me if I didn't do something "erroneous." (Many times its both our faults)

On the contrary, almost every time a woman road rages on me, it's over something she did wrong.

Women should just rely on public transit if they can't handle driving. Me personally, I'm all about driving into work. Public transit is my impetus for improving my standing in the world.

My personal observations...
Women suffer greater psychological effects from...
...children
...work
...violence
...pizza
...sunny days
...novels
...dictionaries
...internet
...chocolate
...actually, pretty much anything and everything can have a negative effect on women.

I learned the hard way that you can never fix a woman's life, because there will always be something wrong.

Guess what they watched when they were little. Power Rangers. There's a significant cultural, causal connection between how those women were raised and how they behave now. But you knew this.
