Kane, 26, was scheduled to have his day with the Stanley Cup in his hometown of Buffalo on Saturday, though it was not immediately clear whether the event would go on as planned.

The Hockey Hall of Fame is responsible for overseeing the Cup while it's being hosted by players and team officials. Hall spokeswoman Kelly Masse referred questions to the Blackhawks, by saying they are responsible for scheduling each visit.

The Blackhawks have not returned messages.

The Cup was already in the Buffalo area on Friday for a private function at the home of former coach Scotty Bowman, who serves as a Blackhawks senior adviser, and whose son Stan is the team's general manager.

This is not Kane's first brush with the law. Kane, who signed an eight-year, $84 million deal last summer, was arrested on assault charges against a cab driver in New York in 2009. Kane ultimately pleaded guilty to a noncriminal charge of disorderly conduct, and he and his cousin were ordered to send an apology to the cab driver.

No charges have been filed against Kane in the current investigation.

High-profile Buffalo attorney Paul J. Cambria Jr. confirmed to ESPN.com via email that he will be representing Kane in this matter but declined to comment on the investigation at this time.

Cambria, of Buffalo-based legal firm Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria, also represented Kane in his 2009 arrest.

I heard a rumor that at the Mifflin Street Block Party in Madison a few years back he would just walk up to a girl from behind and turn her face to him and say things like, "yes, no, too big of nose, etc." A friend said they saw him doing it but have no way of confirming it. I don't know if any of you guys grew up at the rink, but that shit won't fly with hockey players. Hockey is known for its rough culture. I remember getting an underage drinking ticket in juniors and I had to go to a "counseling" class to get it dropped. The counselor said "Oh, your a hockey player. Try to avoid cops next time."

As the NBA and NFL continue to fall to SJW faggotry, the NHL will stay afloat. Players will go to Russia if they have to wear pink for a whole month and listen to female refs.

A couple of red pill truths are really in play with this story and the surrounding coverage. Here are my thoughts:

Most of the liberal, leftist, press coverage of the case by PC journalists has been totally against Kane. All but convicting him before he has even so much as been charged. Why? I think they are believers in the feminine imperative, that a woman's word carries more truth than a man's. Those of us on the forum know better. The truth is that women are chronic liars, and when the matter is about sex and relationships they turn into virtual lie machines. These left wing sports journalists who have probably never done picked up a girl in years, if ever, are hopelessly abject betas who believe in The War on Women nonsense.

This got me thinking. The modern American women has no honor, no sense of right or wrong, and not a smidgen of integrity. I could fill a book with times girls have lied to me. Here's an example- just this week I had a great first on Sunday with a girl, or so I thought. I bounced to a second bar with the girl and we had a good make out session that she was very into. After the date she texted me that she had a great time and hoped to see me soon. This used to mean that you would see the girl again. I texted her on Tuesday and since then I have got radio silence. This has happened to me numerous times this year already. I'm sure the same is happening to guys on this forum.

I can now see how false rape accusations happen a lot, with women giving no care to truth, and paying no consequences. Living in the US it may only be a matter of time until it does happen to me based on how many girls I date per year. Perhaps I have got off lucky.
