So I'm planning a trip to Colombia around the new year. I will be going with my friend who know doesn't know Spanish. I know a good amount and can carry a conversation but I'm not fluent. So that is one challenge for me when choosing a destination. I've been to Cartagena and Bogota. I made the mistake of meeting 1 girl in every city and sticking with them. I won't make that mistake this time around. Internet game was how I did it. My buddy is lucky that he is a blond hair blue eyed mofo. He's got seriously good game here in the states but not sure how that will work out in Colombia. I'm leaning towards Bogota. I didn't really like Cartagena even though the chick I hooked up with was hotter then the one in Bogota. He really wants to go to Medellin. But I'm hesitant to go there from what I've read on here. What do you guys think?

Go with your intuition, Bogota. Sounds like this will be your first real trip to Colombia, since you were locked down on your previous trips.

Bogota has girls from all over, especially Paisas and Costenas. You can see if Rolas, Paisas, Costenas, etc. like you any more or less than the others, which can help you prioritize your next trip accordingly.

There are nightlife options in Bogota Tuesday-Saturday. The weather is fair enough that you can stand/walk around the street and day-game girls, without physically breaking a sweat. There's also a size-able online dating/phone app pool.

This gives you the most "opportunities" to approach, which you'll want as you get acclimated to Colombianas.

You should read and ask questions in the many Colombia threads on the forum. Check the newer one by LINUX. Lots of info there on quite a few cities.

That's what I'm thinking Kabal. I will be going for 1 week. He will be going for 2. So If wants he can head to Medellin when I leave. Those Medellin women are hot as hell though. I'm kind of tempted. But from what I've read here, it's gringo infested.

RioNomad, I will definitely do a trip report when I get back. I'm looking forward to it. It's been 3 years since my last trip to Colombia. That thread Linux started has me fired up to go back.

Medellin is a difficult city to swoop into and pick up
because of the group culture.

Probably the most important city in the world to
pipeline I have been to.

The guys there really do not like gringos hitting
on their women.

I had a girl once in Poblado hit on me....while
I was alone @ a bar.....only to find 2-3 guys
in her group pissed off.....WHEN SHE HIT ON ME.

Bogota is what I would recommend....more options.
The people there are more Western....faster pace.

The people of Medellin actually like to joke @ how
rude everyone is in Bogota. LOL.

I have not been since 2013....but I have made
8 trips there. I imagine as more gringos have
gone....things have just intensified.

Even my local friend there told me what a bad
reputation foreigners were getting among the
locals from wanting to RVF it up
