Mission Impossible
Just watched it. Pretty good. Reminds me a lot about the first one. Rotten tomato reviews have been good. This is going to make a ton of money

RE: Mission Impossible
I liked it as a summer popcorn and coca cola movie. I can't believe they put a dragon in the movie though. I thought it was pretty well cast and Cruise must be staying off the carbs he looked pretty good especially considering his age.

May I ask what the gas is referring to?

For real? Like a living creature of fantasy? Was it well-animated and powerful (i.e. not like Smaug from The Hobbit)?

If the answer is yes then shit, I am seeing that for sure.

^^ Ok, so what the hell is going on with samsamsam's post then? Has 'dragon' become some sort of metaphor like 'bull' or 'bear'?

RE: Mission Impossible
Does Cruise's production company foot the bill for these movies now (and thus circumvent the studios)?

Also wondering if Renner has a bit role in this - would be suprised if he joined it without a leading part of some sort given how big he's gotten.

RE: Mission Impossible
Now hold on there Captain Planet, it turns out that in Season One of the Mission Impossible television series, there's an episode called "The Reluctant Dragon".

Quote:The IMF seeks to smuggle an important scientist, with the help of his wife, out from behind the Iron Curtain. They discover belatedly that he doesn't want to leave.

There could be a modern adaptation of this figurative 'dragon' in the movie.

I think they are/were lining Renner up to take over the role when Cruise steps down. Problem is that Cruise doesn't age so that guy will be long dead while Tom is still doing his own stunts at 120 yrs old in Mission Impossible 12. The person who will take over this role still has another ten years before they are even born.
