I was cruising Total Frat Move - a site that used to be fun until Grandex made it PC - and saw an article about trigger warnings on college campuses. Long story go short, they are everywhere. Read this one from an article insisting that free tampons will help lessen inequality. First I wanted to vomit at the content - then I wanted to explode at the trigger warning!

The article goes on to list all of the things requiring a trigger warning according to Kyriarchy & Privilege 101. Yes, you need a trigger warning to call someone or something "dumb".

Dismissal of lived oppressions, marginalization, illness or differences

Kidnapping (forceful deprivation of/disregard for personal autonomy)

Discussions of sex (even consensual)

Death or dying

Spiders

Insects

Snakes

Vomit

Pregnancy/childbirth

Blood

Serious injury

Trypophobia (Link is safe.)

Scarification

Nazi paraphernalia

Slimy things

Anything that might inspire intrusive thoughts in people with OCD

College is truly an amazing industry. Who'd have thought that the insane would succeed in getting the sane to pay to be made more insane. We all thought it was the other way around, that the insane were wearing straight-jackets and the sane were providing them with therapy to make them more sane. Bravo you crazy bastards, bravo.

As a man who graduated decades ago, I celebrate at this list. My job will be secure for decades more given the sort of weak, afraid-to-speak-up, compliant insects adherence to this mindset will produce.
