Roosh has already written in great length on this subject about how experience and hardship significantly improve the lives of men whilst the same experience would likely depreciate a woman's value in the eyes of men. I agree from my own experience with this sentiment and would like to extend upon it that the environment in which men and women grow up in has a similar effect.
I'm of the belief that a man's masculinity is significantly enhanced by growing up in a rural/semi-rural locale whereas a woman's femininity is not so much enhanced, but maintained by growing up in an urban environment to a greater extent than in a rural one. This train of thought may contradict traditional religious conservatism whereby women embrace femininity in rural areas. Frankly I believe (at least in Australia) that concept to be dead and it honestly never really proliferated to the same extent as the states. My primary reasoning for this pertains on the basis of hardship (rural) versus shelter (urban) or simply rather nature versus nature.

Rural - Men and Masculinity:
Me and my cousin were born within 3months of one another in the early 1990's. He's spent the entirety of his life in the inner suburbs of Sydney whereas I grew up in a surfing village of 3000 some 3 hours south. I have zero complaints over my childhood as there was always a new sport or skill to learn. I spent the majority of my time up until 16: surfing, running, playing Australian football, fishing, yachting, kayaking and working from the age of 12. Unknowingly all these activities helped forge an inner masculinity much the same as our GenX and Baby boomer predecessors. By the time I was 15/16 and I started viewing girls sexually, it was a matter of stealing a bottle from my dad's cabinet, getting liquored up with my best prospect and the rest followed.

Meanwhile my cousin, though equally as fit and academic, lacked a more traditional masculine upbringing and it was apparent every time we would meet. This was likely due to having an overbearing mother (city soccer mom mentality) and a father working far too many hours to sustain the ridiculous price of Sydney.

In rural Australia during the 90's and 2000's there was no other way than masculine orthodoxy. To some this may seem severe, but retrospectively I view it as a necessary severity in order to preserve traditional masculinity. There was no listening to Brittany Spear's , attending drama classes or playing the Cello. It was surf, skate and banter with boys. Reputations were irreparable if they had been significantly tarnished and attempts to reestablish ones self was foolish because everybody knew everybody and word travelled. This the origin of Australian 'Tall poppy syndrome.'

Contrast this with urban areas and the disease of dogma-level liberalism has allowed an acceptance of any persuasion, man or woman. Homosexuals, goths, transvestites and hipsters seem to have a niche within every urban hub that could simply not exist in a rural area.

Besides the aforementioned, I firmly believe that a young man should migrate to the cities once he comes of age for the opportunity and the pussy. Living in a rural area during the prime of your life could be equated to the aridity of a desert (sexually).

Three things have stood out for me in my time in Sydney that have separated me from the herd:
1) accent - yes even within Australia. Girls say that my accent is quite dissimilar to the average Sydney-sider. Mostly they say its more assertive (loud) and drawn out, rather than parliament house english.
2) stories - from everything I did growing up I have an abundance of stories that some men wont accumulate in their lifetimes. Girl's love guys who surf too, I have mates who turned pro and they are always inundated in pussy.
3) polarity - me and my friends growing up agree on this that when it comes to women you'd like to fuck it should be 'I'm a man, you're a woman, I think you're drop dead and we should definitely hang out sometime.' I see a lot of guys in the city who are friend-zoned for lack of gender polarity. They don't present themselves enough as a threat. For me fashion tends to show this. Men who are too dressy with wire physiques advertise themselves as a conversationalist whereas men with a little bit of chest, a white v-neck and some jeans advertise themselves as 'I don't give a fuck.'

Urban - Women and Femininity
Now being a man I cannot adequately speak for women, but from my experience rural women tend to be more masculine than urban women for the same level of attractiveness. This is likely due to the aforementioned activities that I partook in as a kid (that girls did as well) and the greater need for rural women to be independent. Contrast this with city girls who tend to be princesses and have a lesser need for work and independence due to their parents having higher incomes. This results in a sheltered girl who to me (and I assume most of the manosphere) is more attractive because they require men to lead, rather than vice versa.

There are three traits that I find are big differences between urban and rural girls:
1) attractiveness - girls in cities are far more attractive due to the mixture of ethnicities and the population. Its rare to see an 8 in a rural area and its strange to not see an 8 in the time it takes you to finish a coffee in the city. Besides this, rural girls tend to be the race of that continent... unless you happen to live in Dearborn, Michigan
2) promiscuity - girls in cities want to be destroyed, they all have a 50 shades fantasy. The hot girls are accessible, the hot girls in rural areas are always paired up.
3)femininity - though the likelihood that a city girl has had quite a few cocks prior to 20 is high, their lack of pragmatism makes them more receptive to masculine men than their rural counterparts. Honestly, if I had the choice between a girl who perhaps has numerous left-wing ideologues but is hot and takes care of herself or a girl who is very easy to get along with in boyish way and only wears makeup every other day, I'd go with the former most times (for the notch). Despite a city girls bogus views, when she is threatened by an alpha male they mean nothing.
