Remember your enemies have nothing better to do but get pregnant, live boring lives and call things better than them gay

Nope.

RE: People who bring you down when you try to improve yourself
I'm going through this at the moment. I've relocated and living in a house with some school friends I've known for years. I live a little different, self employed, fairly fit, ambitious, get more girls..

And they mock me constantly, especially my oldest friend, he tries to embarrass me whenever possible, especially in front of girls.

Although it's been fun living with them and my main aim while here is to get a car. It's nearly time to move on I feel as It's starting to get to me, I know it shouldn't and I could confront them, what I usually do is just come back with really arrogant and ego filled responses, and highlight the facts that I'm better them then without saying it, although deep down I feel like a dick for doing that, even though it's them that mocked me.

Plus it shows that they've got to me, which grinds my gears.

Unfortunately, some friends and family members will pull you down when they observe that you are evolving. Stick to your plan and "don't let the bastards get you down". Your real friends will eventually come to respect and admire your path. The others will mostly likely not to be long-term associates in your life. You will move beyond them.

This seems to be a problem mostly in the UK. Tall poppy syndrome and lad culture. You're not supposed to stand out because then you would be "loud", and if you are interested in self-improvement instead of getting hammered every night you're a poof.

Lovely culture.

I know it's common here in Australia to give mates shit, constantly. It keeps everyone in check, usually just general banter.. but it's on a whole different level in the UK from my experience. You guys can be ruthless to each other, though it's usually taken in stride.

When it's in front of girls it's one of the weakest things a guy can do. The insecure beta just has an impulse to make the superior man look as bad as possible because he knows he doesn't stand a chance with her while you can actually at least get some women. Worse is when old and supposedly dear friends do it; you would think a strong friendship would mean you both want each other to succeed. They say only "alphas" successfully mark their territory, well "betas" do it too, and the more desperate and the more pathetic they are, the more determined the displays. Even more silly is that this occurs in conversations with girls you don't even want to bang in the first place, you know 4s and 5s or girls with completely screwed up personalities. The guy could simply ask you if you're OK with him trying to game the girl in isolation but because he doesn't know how to do that the only thing he sees can make him look better is attempting to throw another guy, even longstanding friend, under the bus. Behind these apparently confident attempts is a very weak, insecure, clueless loser who has no idea what else to do to get girls to like him, other than whiteknighting of course which is arguably even worse in its overall effects on society. (Western judges, who make serious decisions carrying potentially life-destroying punishments, have even begun to interpret and apply the law in manners consistent with the concept of whiteknighting.)

It seems like guys right at the top, celebrities like Leo, Bieber, Floyd Mayweather and the rest get admiration from the average beta in the west. But that status is for a very small elite. Guys who are significantly better than the average beta, but not human gods in the eyes of society, are the targets of pathetic vultures whose strength in numbers can lead to opportunistic bullying in an attempt to bring you back down to their level. A lot of it is projection as well, the way certain high school bullies are actually not popular alphas as is the stereotype, rather big and clumsy beta losers. Finally, there is a popular culture element to it, Space Cowboy spot on in this respect: among certain social circles, usually lower class, you are even the "tall poppy" if you haven't been to fucking prison, and if, by god almighty, you actually read a book, then you have a flashing red target on your back. And what? You learned another language so that you can communicate with and bang hot Slavic women? The word envy doesn't cut it.

Of course, this kind of behavior is going to be worse if you live in a poor neighborhood in the UK. As IKE said, educated, successful people don't have time or any particular reason to insult another person on the street.

The UK is such that there are huge numbers of these pathetic excuses for human beings, especially concentrated in certain areas, so the unfortunate reality is that, right or wrong, they dominate many parts of the country. If they are not childhood/longstanding friends or family, the only solution is to avoid much like you would avoid a piece of dog shit. This is why parents who can afford it tend to send their kids to private schools or grammar schools rather than the comprehensive because although they might come out a bit soft, many comprehensive schools are dominated by the "if you succeed in school you are a faggot" culture, and of course the "hey girls look at this faggot reading a book" game tactics.

RE: People who bring you down when you try to improve yourself
My situation is pretty different from the OP but there are some people who often bring me down and they are...you guessed it, American women. This has been discussed ad infinitum in this part of the web but for me, they are so grumpy and condescending they sometimes even make me think life is not worth living. (Exaggerating of course but you get the idea.) And they are fucking everywhere, working at every store, at HR, at any business's customer service and what not. What is more absurd than a fat and near wall (or even past wall) woman at a mundane job (such as Subway or cashier at a supermarket) behaving condescendingly (such as not answering my hello, not properly answering a question, etc)?

Over the course of years I've learned the "proper" way of carrying myself around these women and that's a demeanor similar to that of T1000 in Terminator i.e. solemn, focused and aloof. The problem is that this has not yet become a part of my personality and I often forget to put it on.

A better question to ask is "What EXACTLY do I want out of life and what EXACTLY am I doing to get EXACTLY that? If you can answer that question truthfully you will be the most Alpha motherfucker you will ever need to be. (PapayaTapper)
