I don't want to spam you guys with a lot of pcitures or a lot of details, but I want to speak about a city that surprised me a lot.

Zagreb, Croatia.



It is indeed a small city, very walkable and not full of touristic attractions, the head government of Croatia is located on it. With an architecture very similar to the one of Prague but the city is way smaller. What it really surprised me was the women. The highest quality of Croatian women I have seen was there, I was incredible. As it wasn't really touristic inside the clubs and day gaming gave all time good results. In general it is not expensive and very doable for a weekend if you are planning to travel in the balkans.

I don't think , that I have seen someone mentioning the Rainbow Mountains in Peru. I have been there and it's something I haven't seen anywhere in the world. Also , Machu Picchu and Sagrado Valle (Sacred Valley) is a must visit , when in Cusco.

Yaxhilan (spider monkeys in the trees, bats flying overhead in the almost pitch black entrance temple, we could hear spooky howler monkeys deep in the jungle. Apparently a jaguar had been spotted recently)

Hawaiian islands are certainly tops for me. Such a great combination of natural beauty, landscape diversity, and modern conveniences...

Not to rain on this parade, but I'm wondering if there is anywhere in the world that is really "worth it" for me to see anymore... It's not that these places aren't super nice, it's just I never leave feeling like I've been inspired by the great awe of nature and humanity, at least not more than fleetingly and shallowly.

I've seen some of the best. I've hiked machu Picchu, Patagonia, the grand Canyon, jungles and Mayan pyramids, layed on and snorkled the best beaches of Bahamas, Hawaii, Lake Huron, Adriatic Sea, seen great museums and cathedrals, skiied the best mountain tops...

It's all enjoyable at the time, but then you go home and the memories fade and you have some nice pictures to look at later and that's that... Perhaps I'm doing it wrong, but I don't know in what way?

I lived in Ven. from '97 to '01, back when I was in school, so it wasn't extremely dangerous (but there were still incidents).

Merida was a different world as its technically in the Andes. People are different, arepas are different (better, IMO), and it even had that ice cream place that held the Guinness World Record for most flavors.

The ride up Pico Bolivar on the French cable cars was great, even though I felt nervous riding a 50-year-old cable car in Venezuela of all places, but it was fine.

I feel the same way but I think its a matter of perspective. Travel was never meant to fulfill some deep meaning or motivation in my opinion. It is to experience and live in the now, as opposed to living for the chase of some anticipated goal. And afterwards you can reminisce that, in that moment, you got to experience something amazing.
