Anybody else find Viber is not working on their Android phone recently ?

I tired deleting it and reinstalling it but it didn't work. It keeps asking to me register again but when I put in the same number I was using before it keeps giving me a error message.

Going back to What's App for now but the Viber seems to be #1 for the Slavic girls I pipeline or keep in contact with.

Some girl from Arkansas I boned in college was claiming to be Russian and was sending nudes to multiple eastern European men using this app. Since that was my first and last experience with this app, I never investigated it further.

My Viber app is still working. Greatly prefer Line messenger to Facebook's messenger, Viber and What's App.

Line seems to be more popular in Asia.

Popular by marketing and 'first mover', not by quality. They desperately need to hire some good programmers to fix that buggy and clumsy piece of crap. Whatsapp is way better, simpler, and way more reliable.

Ever since I started using it, there has been an arbitrary 20 character limit on a contacts nickname, no place to put notes on them, no way to backup your contacts list, a well-known bug whereby if people buy a new phone and log into LINE it completely erases their account, no way to see when you added people, no way to sort by when you added them, no way to extract their LINE ID after you've added them, etc etc. And after more than a year, they have fixed none of this. It really is a piece of shit. I'd take any other messaging app over LINE.

I think the guys programming the backend aren't too bad though. Once I met a bunch of people at a party and couldn't remember who all the LINE contacts were afterwards (some people have an irritating habit of setting their profile picture to something other than their face). I could remember the order I met them in though, but the app doesn't let you order by add time (I wanted to message a girl I liked but not accidentally message her friend). So I pulled the database and opened it in sqlitebrowser. Everything is in there, including the time you added them. Ridiculous that I had to pull the damn database and run queries on it to do something so trivial.

I have not had the account issue on Line and have switched phone three times. Honestly have not tried the rest of what you mentioned. Each app seems to have regions where most popular. I have them all. No point in running into a woman who uses a particular one and not having the ability to make contact.

Amazing to me half this stuff works at all.

Works fine for me. Viber has been my favourite IM and phone app in Europe the last few years. I use the desktop version when I'm working on my laptop.

Line seems most popular in Asia, I'm still in contact with three girls in Thailand who I haven't managed to get to switch to Viber (a fourth has). Text chat with lots of emoticons and emojis seems to be a big hit with Thai girls (and great when I'm too lazy to write something, just send a funny emoji) which makes the Line choice worse since it's far behind Viber in terms of well designed, expressive emojis.

I wrote viber a email to tech support, this is strange as they responded with:

Our system has identified your account as a source of spam messaging due to an increased activity on Viber. The account has been automatically added to a block list and can not be unblocked.

?

My viber on android has been quite buggy recently :

- my texts sometimes not received (girl showed me her viber to prove it)
- can't add it to a 2nd phone (says my activation code is incorrect wtf)
- sometimes doesn't update my new contacts / marks them as not having viber
- chicks i give my number to sometimes reach me via whatsapp saying they can't find me on viber

Someone had the same problems?

Forgot to update earlier this but it was an automatic ban from viber. They do that when you copy-paste a message to like 20 contacts. Just emailed them and they unbanned me within 2 hours.

Works but drains the battery hard, even when not used. Removed it..
