Well I have watched the last episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver that I'll ever bother with.

It really went full retard last week with its shocking "expose" of gamergate and gave airtime to our national hero Anita Sarkeesian for her bravery and sacrifices.

I gave it another shot this week, and it doubled down by devoting the entire episode to the plight of the poor, downtrodden Transgender community. Oliver insisted that there's nothing wrong with middle-aged men whipping their dicks out in front of little girls in a women's restroom, and if you disagree with him, you're on the wrong side of a losing argument and history will remember you like we remember the Nazis. Yeah. He said that.

Well....fuck that asshole. Plenty of better ways for me to spend a half hour of my time anyway. And it's not like I ever supported him or HBO anyway.

5:02 - John Oliver's entire shtick is yelling at screens in a high pitch, feminine voice and progressives find it funny and cute. I got tired of it after 3 videos.

Really, really bad. My girlfriend got upset because I walked out on it last Sunday when they did the online harassment bullshit, this Sunday I just tuned out as soon as I saw transgender come up on the screen. I just do not have the cognitive energy to give a fuck about online harassment,transgender rights, gender pay gap, microaggressions, or objectification of women. Interesting that the video points out that 42% of transgenders attempt suicide.

Maybe, just maybe, it's because it's a mental health issue and NOT some made-up "body identity" crap.

As someone said in another thread [paraphrase], one may want to declare themselves a cis-gender attack helicopter/demisexual, but that doesn't make it so.
