I think thats more where I'm coming from with my "debbie downer" comment. What is to be gained by cutting all of this stuff in half besides some sort of public tantrum and shaming?

Selling all of the stuff, and using that money to flee the country or at least go on one badass bender + hookers would make more sense. Especially if the guy did some sort of "wish you were here" type of documentary like:

- re-staging well known pictures of the two of you with hot girls (paid or unpaid), create a slideshow/side by side of you with your ex wife kissing at niagra falls, and then you kissing some fake titted slut. Round out the slideshow with one "boudoir" picture of you banging your ex wife then banging some younger hotter slut in the same pose. End that with "thanks for the memories" and you've got a recipe for your own entertainment and driving her crazy. Bitches hate being replaced by someone hotter, (real or paid) even if they are the ones that ended it. Put all of the tame ones up on facebook with the same timeline date and tag her in them...game over.

Half doesn't mean cut in half in the eyes of the court

If the court has processed items on a list which have been given to her and he destroys it via cutting it in half then he will need to refund her the full cost.
