He's also going to claim that he overheard Trump Jr. whispering to Trump about setting up a meeting with the Russians. He doesn't actually hear any of the words besides "The meeting is set" and "Ok good...let me know". There's no directly overheard words that indicate the meeting was related to Russians. Instead it's just Cohen thinking it was.

Remember when unnamed law enforcement officials said Cohen had indicated he had been told by Trump to Congress? Buzzfeed reported it and the usual suspects were getting all excited until the Mueller team broke their silence to dispute the report. Cohen says in his opening statement "Mr. Trump did not directly tell me to lie to Congress" but that he was "in his way, telling me to lie".

Some US members piled on my fellow countryman Leonard D Neubache in another thread when he said the US was finished. Watching the whole fiasco today, and recognizing the fact that the Dems have a guaranteed 40-45% voting bloc, sometimes even 50-55% when the GOP gets cyclically thrown out, he’s making a sound bet. The Cohen mistake within the Ohr/Steele dossier is one data-point that seems to outline how the entire operation was connected. Officials inside government and allies (contractors and journalists) outside government were working in collaboration.
