tl;dr: Went to Elephant & Castle across from the DC Trump Hotel on Penn Ave. From 8 to 10 PM, I have never seen the air get sucked out of the room like that. A room full of lefty SWPLs who, along with the CNN hacks, saw their whole reality shattered on live TV.

Boring Long Story:
I live in Arlington and went to Capitol Hill for an election party around 7PM.

Capitol Hill was DEAD. No one on the streets or in the bars.
Capitol Hill was DEAD. I mean completely deserted. Plus I found out they wanted $$ cover for the party. It was conservative but operators who were not happy about Trump (I saw them boo him in the primaries). I decided to keep my money.

So I went across the street to Elephant & Castle for UKian beer & wings (it's only Tuesday and it's already been a long week at work - it was for the best). One thing to note is that there was 20 DC motorcycle cops across the streeet.

So I sit down at the bar and get a drink. A german guy and italian girl come up to me and ask me who I voted for. I'm in DC and not an idiot and say "Jill Stein".

In their defense, they invited me over to their table with their friends. We had a great time. The greatest time.

But then Virginia suddenly flipped, and the energy went down.

But then Wisconsin flipped, and everyone disappeared. I mean I was watching the TV and no one was there.

Then I looked out the window and saw the cops had disappeared.

It was time to go.
