I must be missing something here. My recollection was that Comey reeled off a list of violations Hillary committed relating to the presence of classified information on an insecure server. Why the hell can't she be busted for that? She'd be bang to rights, surely.

Long story short, he ruined it by breaking several rules in the DOJ (which the FBI reports to), by overstepping his power by holding that press conference. He made that decision when the AG (Lynch) was technically and legally supposed to do. By ruining that investigation with those characterizations and closing it with those remarks, he made it pretty much radioactive to the touch.

Think about what Hillary's lawyers would do to them in court for flipflops and mishandling the case.

Lynch also hurt the case with the meeting with Bill.

There is alot more to it, but that is the best cliff notes I can come up with.

The only things left that they could go after are:

1. Spirit cooking/Pizzagate (longshot)
2. Seth Rich's murder (no one knows how Trump feels about it, but there is no knowledge the FBI is investigating it)
3. Clinton Foundation related matters (not much is known on the status of this)
4. Election/campaign fraud by the DNC during the primaries (Seth Rich related but also Wikileaks related, which isn't really usable in court)
5. Huma's Saudi spying (possibly ruined evidence thanks to Comey)
6. The unmasking of names at the NSA scandal by Susan Rice and others (not enough is publicly known and how deep it goes and may involve Obama making it much harder)

Trump can hound the FBI and DOJ all he wants but they have to do their work to collect all the facts and gather evidence. They cannot just charge crimes quickly just because they want to.

Part of the reasons why I say Trump needs more time. He is dependant on many others for movement on these fronts. He probably feels a little bit toothless at the moment, and I do not blame him. He cannot do their jobs and this is not corporate America. He has no choice but to wait it out. Could take years.

The US govt. especially Federal charges against wrong doing take time. Sometimes alot of time.

Unlike Proportional Style Representation like you Aussies and Brits have, it is alot slower and more difficult to change our laws and governance. This is by design.

He isn't a politician by trade. There are things I know about the US legal system and government that he does not, but I have a degree in the stuff, even if I stopped working in it years ago. He does not even have that, so he has to learn many things on the fly. He has lawyers and experts, but even then, it's not easy because if you listen to the wrong advice, it could cost you big.

They are still on track and it is not time to panic just yet, although safety on a physical level is in jeopardy. Republicans are spineless enough to shit on him for being a lightning rod and he is all by himself.

Sometimes you cannot defeat evil with what you know. Sometimes you just have to be willing to get on your knees and pray your way through some things. That's part of life and part of growth as a man and a follower of Christ. Money does not instantly fix a child afflicted with cancer. Savvy does not make you immune to the forces of darkness either. Prayer still works and Jesus will answer when the time is right, just not always on our time when we want it the most.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
Kai is right, Trump and Sessions need more time. Trump still needs to get the new FBI director in place and Sessions needs more of his people at the DOJ in place as well. My bet is that they are working feverishly behind the scenes to build a case against a lot of these people but to build an airtight case is going to take some time. In the meantime, Mueller, the media etc are going to burn themselves out on this whole thing. Remember too that Trump has his battery of lawyers who will go hard to make Mueller prove his case which he won't be able to do (in fact, I think the pressure for Mueller to resign due to his conflicts of interest is only going to increase). The earliest anything could happen I think is maybe the end of next summer, just before the '18 elections for maximum effect. I have no doubt though that it is coming and Hillary, and the rest of these asshats ought to be very worried. They are desperately trying to take Trump down before he takes them down.

The purpose of money isn't for buying shit, it is for buying your way out of shit.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
This just happened a few hours ago in Indiana.
Quote:Several shots fired at truck flying ‘Make America Great Again’ flag on I-465

[Image: shot-in-vehicle.jpg?quality=85&s...amp;crop=1]

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana State Police say shots were fired at a truck carrying a “Make America Great Again” flag and an American flag on eastbound I-465 Tuesday.

Officers believe the shots were fired from a newer white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu with a Louisiana plate near Emerson Avenue around 4 p.m.

The victim and a witness informed police that the Malibu pulled up next to the pickup truck, a passenger held a handgun out of the window and then a male fired several shots.

Police say no one was in injured in the incident.

The driver of the Malibu was described as a black male around the age of 23. The passenger was described as a light skinned black male with a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

State police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the exchange to call 317-899-8577.

Meanwhile...

RE: The Donald Trump thread
The most hilarious part about the left pushing for a civil war in this country is that Trump's base is full of alpha males, veterans, police officers, gun owners and patriots. We would stomp the SJW faggots' heads into the ground so quickly and decisively they wouldn't even know what hit them.

If they strike first, which they are, I think the end result of our boot on their throat is going to be very satisfying after all their violent threats and their incessant fear mongering on social media. We aren't dealing with actual tough guys here, these antifa scumbags are effeminate low-t cucks who will lose this war before it gets started.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
AB, your last few posts in this thread are nothing more than talk, blustery declarations completely divorced from reality. It is easy to make such declarations, to draw up long lists full of rhetoric. But it's better to slow down and take a few moments to measure up one's words against the world as it really is and see if there is any connection at all between the two.

What is T supposed to do exactly? Round up the "leftists" into internment camps? Form brownshirt brigades from among the ranks of the "alt-right" -- any volunteers, by the way? Inflame the country by ordering prosecutions of political rivals on dubious charges that have already been dismissed? This is all complete nonsense. None of that can happen, nor will it, nor should it.

The world is not nearing apocalypse, and the US in particular is very far from it, as I will be happy to attest from everyday experience. It is quite true that Trump's admin faces determined and relentless enemies that wish to bring it down; it is also quite true that political tensions are as high as they've been in a long time, because Trump's miracle of a victory came as a very nasty surprise to the Year Zero cadres, and they have essentially refused to accept it and are fanatically committed to reversing it in any way they can. But this struggle, fateful though it is, will proceed in the way these things always proceed in the good old US of A: through normal legal and political channels. And thank God for that.

Trump is the democratically elected president of the United States, neither more nor less than that. He has a great deal of power, but he is also bound on all sides by the other coequal branches of our government (in particular a judiciary that has been acting of late as the ruling branch). He is bound, as well, by our democratic norms and traditions. Although the system is not perfect -- the current rule by judicial fiat has become intolerable and should be more closely circumscribed by the two other branches -- it gets the job done and it's best we have.

Trump has never said he would upend our democracy, he never ran to be a king or a dictator. Nor did he ever claim to be a "general", or indeed anything other than a successful businessman and straight talker who would cut through the chatter and the bullshit of our elites and do his best to Make America Great Again. This is what the majority of T voters signed up for, and this is what his administration has done its best to deliver in the face of endless distractions and sedition.

Further, all this talk about "Christianity", "spiritual infrastructure", "blasphemy", and so on, is utterly misguided in this context. T is not a religious guy, nor has he ever seriously claimed to be one; his discourse on these subjects has the great charm of being obviously and amiably rote because T never really tries hard to pretend to be something he isn't. Indeed, his complete native indifference to all these matters is what makes glum Year Zero ideologues hate him with such a passion, since he dares to enjoy life and be very into all sorts of things about it as if the questions of "meaning" and "meaninglessness" that preoccupy these characters did not even exist. That is what makes him so different from them, different in kind in a way that run-of-the-mill "conservatives" and faux-religious nihilists on the right are not; and it's that difference in kind that fuels their special hatred.

To the extent Trump can make Americans better spiritually, it is by simply being himself, by presenting the daily spectacle of a great and loveable character full of every possible foible as well as so many virtues, all harmonized and made whole by a great WARMTH that seems to emanate from that very mane of golden hair known to every last human being on earth. That warm comic glow, that special and unalterable individuality of character, that unmistakable face so deeply and fully inhabited by the man as he is -- that is the real spiritual lesson, and one that has already improved the lives of so many normal decent Americans as well as people all over the world bewitched, riveted, and entertained by the great rollicking American show.

When T whines about "Crooked H" on Twitter, he is just being himself; and if you resent T for being himself, then you probably never much liked him in the first place. It is neither an admission of weakness, nor even a display of strength -- except the great shrugging strength of a man deeply set in his ways who sees no reason nor need to change. You see it and you feel compelled to "nail" a lengthy list of fantastical imprecations to an imaginary door; I see it, smile, and say, go get 'em Mr. President, never stop being yourself, and let the chips fall where they may.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

RE: The Donald Trump thread

Via the Department of Homeland Security:
Quote:Rescission of Memorandum Providing for Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (“DAPA”)

Release Date:
June 15, 2017

On June 15, Department of Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly, after consulting with the Attorney General, signed a memorandum rescinding the November 20, 2014 memorandum that created the program known as Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (“DAPA”) because there is no credible path forward to litigate the currently enjoined policy.

The rescinded memo purported to provide a path for illegal aliens with a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident child to be considered for deferred action. To be considered for deferred action, an alien was required to satisfy six criteria:

(1) as of November 20, 2014, be the parent of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident;

(2) have continuously resided here since before January 1, 2010;

(3) have been physically present here on November 20, 2014, and when applying for relief;

(4) have no lawful immigration status on that date;

(5) not fall within the Secretary’s enforcement priorities; and

(6) “present no other factors that, in the exercise of discretion, make [ ] the grant of deferred action inappropriate.”

Prior to implementation of DAPA, twenty-six states challenged the policies established in the DAPA memorandum in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. The district court enjoined implementation of the DAPA memorandum, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit affirmed the district court’s decision, and the Supreme Court allowed the district court’s injunction to remain in place.

The rescinded policy also provided expanded work authorization for recipients under the DACA program for three years versus two years. This policy was also enjoined nationwide and has now been rescinded.

The June 15, 2012 memorandum that created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will remain in effect.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
I don't want to paraphrase AB. God knows I'm not qualified. But I understand where he's coming from.

If you want peace, you must prepare for war.

Trump's attitude appears to be "go back to sleep, everyone, I got this" and our response has thus far been "this is the best episode of The Apprentice ever!"

Okay, some people have put in plenty of miles after Trump was elected but the vast majority have accepted the inferred message that their participation is neither requested nor required. Then people talk about Trump not making progress "because he has to do it all by himself". Well durr.

The worst thing you can do with an energetic political movement behind you is to tell them "go home, I'll call you when I need you". Like AB said, the offices of CNN need to be occupied. Leftists threatening violence need to have their own sense of safety seriously compromised.

Now Trump doesn't need to say "go intimidate John Smith of 10 Johnson lane" but if he told his supporters to fight back against the crooked media then he could have that crooked media in a virtual headlock inside of 24 hours.

One tweet. "Please call everyone at CNN, MSNBC (etc) to tell them how you feel about their bias."

Every line would be locked down for days.

"GOP congressman just shot by progressive assassin. Fellow Americans please put aside money for pistol and training.p/1"

"p/2 Demand CCW laws in your state to give you and your family a fighting chance! SJW lunatics will not stop!"

The big name gun companies would have to start working through the night!

But no. We get victim tweets that Hillary isn't being prosecuted. Try to imagine how it looks to your base when you're supposedly the most powerful man in the world and you're tweeting about how "shit's happening and it's not fair".

The only response to those tweets is "well what the fuck do you expect us to do about it?"

Obama had a phone and a pen. Trump at least has a phone and a twitter account. He should be using them to direct his base! What precisely has he got to lose? His meritorious standing with the press? tard

RE: The Donald Trump thread
Trump is all tweet no action. His tweet is worse than his bite. Why did he even run for office if his response to anything and everything is not to use the powers at his disposal as POTUS to affect things, but to impotently tweet about it? If all he's gonna do is tweet he could have done that from the comfort of Trump Tower. All his tweets are followed by zero action, so both his enemies and his friends are (rightly) becoming inured to them. Trump tweets? Zero fucks given by anyone. Trump seems to be operating under the "tweet loudly and carry a microstick" philosophy and this does not engender respect.

Symbolism at its finest. Trump loudly "ending" a program that had already been killed by both the federal circuit courts and the supreme court years ago. This is like digging up a dead body, putting on a show of "killing" it for the cameras, and then burying it again. What's he gonna do next, set the slaves free?

I guess this is what he thinks of his base. Throwing us not scraps, but imaginary scraps.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
In a basic sense, it was worth it even if he does nothing because 4 years of Hillary would have been the death knell of the nation.

In the bigger picture though, that death has only been delayed by 4 years unless the Trump movement can bring about broad and sweeping changes.

It's not just up to Trump, but as the head of the movement we do need him to ease the path and energize his vanguard, much as Obama did for progressives that's have taken a vice grip on the throat of America.

This is an existential war, and there's no "good enough". This was the Flight 93 election, we rushed the cockpit, but right now it's looking like we may die anyways. Trump needs to go on the offensive and we, his base, need to do the same if we have any interest in preserving our way of life.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
EL is touching on something I want to address more broadly. In 3 to 7 short years Trump will be gone from office. In all likelihood he will be replaced by a Democrat or at best a Republicuck.

Does anyone here honestly have the slightest sense that by that time the right will be re-established as the prime force guiding America and by default the west?

Does anyone here honestly have the slightest sense that any demographic gains will not be swept aside in the first year of a Democrat/Republicuck administration?

Does anyone here honestly have the slightest sense that when that time comes there will not be a serious undertaking of violence against the right of the kind that accompanied Trump's election, only much worse because there will be no fear of reprisal from the government?

Trump might be a good guy and he might be doing his best. We can carp and moan about how his hands are tied and the lugenpresse and the democrats and the republicucks are bogging him down.

But excuses are going to mean precisely jack shit when the reaper of the left finally comes calling.

The way I see it, the men of the west have 3 to 7 years to gun up and make acquaintance with the men they're going to be standing next to when the shit hits the fan. The next democrat/republicuck administration is not going play with the kid gloves on. They have a schedule and they'll double-time to make up for the years Trump robbed them of.

I would like to be wrong on this but I don't think I am. If the current pace is all Trump's got then we're just hitting the snooze button on judgement day.

(1) as of November 20, 2014, be the parent of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident;

(2) have continuously resided here since before January 1, 2010;

(3) have been physically present here on November 20, 2014, and when applying for relief;

(4) have no lawful immigration status on that date;

In others words, coming into the USA with the plan to give birth to as many kids as possible in order to stay here i going to be reduced a lot, all these women crossing the border heavily pregnant and giving birth in hospitals around the border in USA soil.

Anchors babies will be gone.
